Well considering he wasn't getting beat right off the bat for anyone else on anu regular basis why would've t be a feet thing?
Your theory and your degrees are both trash.
It is not a theory. It is a preliminary observation needing more data before I reach any conclusion. We have a very small sample size here. The other two teams are not very good. So I'd be worried if Wright had problems vs. Tampa or Denver. As I said, he gets his third good test tonight with Montez Sweat. He is quick off the snap. Let's both watch and compare notes after the game. Agree?
okay your preliminary observation is trash, is that better?

And what I observed tonight was Sweat blowing right past him with a move that looked like a carbon copy of what Gary and Jones did to him. Is that better?

lol you're joking right? get the F out of here w/your bs. Wright looked fine tonight, he absolutely stood up and beat his man far more then he got beat. Fields threw the ball 29 times and ran the ball 10. the OL, vs that beast of a DL did great.
All day I heard espn, 670 and the nfl network talk about how this OL was going to get a huge challenge vs this DL. The OL won, Wright won, get your stank out of here.

Maybe I can find the Sweat sack somewhere on the internet tomorrow and post the video for you. Of course, Wright beat his man more often than he got beat. Even the top pass rushers like Myles Garrett have only a 27% win rate. You should know that. Sweat finished with 4 tackles, 2 assists, and 1.5 sacks — best of their DL. That’s facts, not “bs stank” so cut the bluster.

Maybe you should remember Wright is a rookie and isn't expected, no rookie is, expected to NOT get beat occasionally. No OT beats their guys 100% of the time. The DL are pro's also, they are going to win.
Again listening to EVERYONE, this DC DL is legit and was expected to give the Bears OL trouble, so to assume that any of the OL were going to dominate is a flawed "theory" or "assumption" or whatever other word you want to twist.

+1 I find it sad when fans fail to understand that there is a steep learning curve for college players transitioning to NFL-level play. That learning curve is ESPECIALLY steep for offensive linemen. The defenses that OL face in the NFL right now are more sophisticated than any time in NFL history. And the edge rushers are freaks as far as skill and athleticism. A solid OL today needs to have incredible intellect as well as incredible physical skills of power, speed and technique (there is a reason why OL score highest on the Wonderlic tests... these guys gotta be amazingly football smart).
A lot of fans can only see the game in stark black-and-white. No shades of gray. A player or coach either is great or sucks... and fans throw a hissy-fit when things are not perfect. LOL, how they point to some great player or coach or team and think those are the norm and not the exception.
The OL last night was far from perfect, but they played an amazing game all the same. I was very surprised by how well the backup LT played (Larry Borom). For a backup, he did really well overall. The interior OL was flip-flopped around due to injuries, but they played a decent game too. Whitehair was rough as hell snapping, but he was thrown into the C roll mid-game due to Patrick getting hurt, so I give him a pass on the bad snaps. Even with that, he was night-and-day better blocking than Patrick at C.
Wright is going to be one of the better tackles in the NFL. You can see the skills he brings to the table. But you are 100% correct in that rookies are gonna rookie - and make a lot of mistakes that first year where they are learning their craft. This ain't college ball for tackles. It is infinitely more difficult. A big hill to climb. But Wright has what it takes to climb that hill.

I don’t “assume” that Wright is going to “dominate” in some “theory” or that he’s never going to get beat. Those are all your words, not mine. You keep arguing against positions you ascribe to me that I never stated or reasonably implied. It would be easier to have a discussion about what I actually said.
What I have observed with my eyes is that a DE with a quick first step (Gary, Jones, Sweat) can get around him quickly. Of course, they do this to other OL, so it’s a matter of degrees, not absolutes (always/never). I can’t say it any plainer. So, for example, take what I said about Sweat’s performance, which you ignored by setting up/demolishing claims I never asserted. He had 4 tackles, 2 assists, and 1.5 sacks. If he averaged that for the season, he’d finish with 65 tackles, 34 assists, and 25 sacks (all career highs by a high margin). So I think it’s fair to say he’s doing better against Wright than the rest of the league. So is it just a “rookie” thing or a “slow feet” thing? I’m not reaching a conclusion, because the sample size is still small. I want to see him against other good speed rushers as the season progresses.
If you reply, please respond to what I actually wrote.

You keep posting crap and then getting mad that people read into what you are writing.
HE is A ROOKIE, going against some of THE BEST DE's. What do you expect? It's not a matter of degrees, stop your BS, OT's of all levels vet, rookie, all pro, backup get get beat by those guys.
Yes and if Fields averaged what he did last night he'd look like a HoF, unfortunately that's not how stats work, you cannot assume that Sweat would have that average every game against Wright...b/c one is a ROOKIE, and will get better, and one is a vet already near his ceiling. Your beyond absurd w/your expectations of a rookie OT. Sweet also had 1.5 sacks vs Mike McGlinchey, who is considered a legit starting OT in the NFL. But please tell me more about how a Rookie getting beat like that is somehow a cause for concern. If his ceiling is Mike McGlinchey the bears won.
All this while having 1 holding and 2 false starts. Jones has 5 in his 2 starts. Wright is absolutely killing it this year, and it shows up in how media talks about him. Your eyes are off, or what you are looking for his poor. Either way it's a you problem, not a RT problem.

I just watched the 40 minute condensed game focusing on the offensive snaps. Wright did really well in pass pro apart from the sack he gave up to Sweat & 1 pressure. His run blocking was also decent.

Okay, I am starting to see it your way. I looked up the performance of rookies Paris Johnson and Broderick Jones. They were the other top draft candidates. Neither of them is off to a spectacular start. Johnson has given up only one sack but his run blocking is not as good as Wright’s. Jones has zero sacks allowed and zero penalties but only 55 snaps, because the Steelers have had him playing behind a vet (Moore). He will get his first start at left tackle this week against the Ravens.
