Jenkins getting healthy and allowing Whitehair to move back to center will help a lot. Patrick has been pretty bad IMO. At that point left tackle is the only real, glaring weak spot. I have confidence Whitehair will at least remember the snap count.

It is a matter of degrees. I think Gary had only 12 snaps against Wright and was beating him easily and repeatedly with speed. He doesn’t do that well against everyone. It’s still early, but there’s some evidence his problem will be speed rushers, whereas Brax can handle speed but has had trouble with bull rush.

Wright will need all season to settle in. Rookies - especially OL - will struggle with consistency in particular that first year. Braxton Jones gave an excellent interview (brutally honest interview) after his first season. He said he struggled with technique issues. He needed to clean some things up for his 2nd season. I suspect Wright will be doing the same thing. But I'll bet Wright will be special at RT. I know you HAVE to start rookies, obviously, but it's a bit of a wild ride that first year.

One positive about both of our tackles, is that they have the athleticism to be good. Brax needs to clean up the penalties, but he does look pretty good to me... just got to get him healthy now. Last season he was an ironman. He was the only Bear to play every snap the entire season on offense. I hope the neck injury heals completely and doesn't hamper him after that.

The neck injury was a whiplash. I read that could take 6 weeks, but he should be back this season. I hope so, anyway.

Again, tell me the VET and then the rookie OT's that are not beaten down by Gary or Jones? I'm waiting for the players names. Not some imaginary PFF style bs thought of what you saw.
