Fields missed Mooney on several big plays last week. I'm hoping that connection improves. Mooney is an excellent candidate for #3 and is already on the team. That would be a killer starting WR lineup for 2024.

As for Scott, great but he has to show something. Mooney as a rookie >> Scott as a rookie thus far.

I know. I’m just saying I’d rather have Ridley than Mooney. That hasn’t changed.

I would like to see Scott get more playing time these last 12 games in order to see whether he’s a viable replacement for Mooney. Like I’ve been telling butkus, I want a slot receiver who is a better route runner than Mooney who runs shallow slants and out routes on 3rd-and-6 to move the chains. That’s not Mooney. It might not be Scott, either. It could have been JSN, but that’s water under the bridge at this point.

And JSN has struggled out of the gate. He has 62 yards & 0 TDs so far. Darnell Wright has been by far the better pick as of now.

You never count on WR's to be day 1 ready and contribute, anything they do has to be considered extra. Just reality, even if they do have a great rookie year, it's not expected.
Same w/OT's and most rookies. pass rushers and RB's are about the only ones that are able to regularly come out of the gate and produce.

Ridley was available to trade all of 2022 right up to the day the Jags took him.

The stats for JSN so far are meaningless. There are several reasons I could explain in detail, if interested.

Don’t get me started on Wright. Go look at that Jalen Carter video I posted yesterday. There are a lot of misconceptions about him. I know people around here want to bury their heads in the sand.

The Seahawks drafted Joey Galloway in 1995. He was a very good WR (11,000 career yards), but not perennial All Pro and HOF.

This year they draft Witherspoon who I expect will be a VERY good cornerback, and I understand why Pete Carroll loves the guy.

But I fear history is about to repeat itself: Sapp 1.0, now Sapp 2.0.

LOL...first off...yes you would. If not you MOTM most definitely would have. And when one of those picks becomes a 2024 2nd rounder for what will be a 31 year old receiver...I think you would join the parade.

As for Poles 4-7th round picks...Dominique Robinson is a rotational piece with upside. Ja'Tyre Carter is a guard with upside who's stepped in and played well this season. Elijah Hicks is a core special teamer who also filled in well as a starter this season. Trenton Gil is a stud punter. Roschon Johnson is going to be the leader in this backfield sooner than later. Tyler Scott has flashed some promise. Noah Sewell was pushing Sanborn for the starting SAM spot before getting injured in training camp and is a key special teamer. Terrell Smith had an OUTSTANDING camp and came in and BALLED OUT as a starter last game...

But sure...Poles late round picks have "been pretty much trash".

Ridley is not a slot receiver, Mooney is. They literally play two different spots in the offense.

And like I've been telling you...Mooney is an EXCELLENT route runner and if you want the Patriots offensive game plan on 3rd down you'll need the Patriots OC as our OC. Mooney runs the routes he's told to run, not the one's he feels like running. I mean this is football 101 dude.
