Bears Tell Chase Claypool They're Done. Want a 5th or 6th DP

They won't get anything for him. btw, #nailedit. That trade was terrible even for the lower 2nd pick. He wasn't worth either. You don't fix a bad decision (taking 2 db's instead of a db and a wr) w/another more desperate decision, trading the 32nd pick in the draft for a bad player, don't care what his talent level is if the attitude that comes w/it is a problem. And it was known at the time of the trade why he was on his way out.

Maybe he works in GB where he'd have Rogers and Cobb where his attitude isn't going to fly, but in Chicago where everything is rudderless? And you wonder why they didn't draft a guy like Carter? They couldn't deal w/Claypool.

Assuming nobody will give a draft pick for him, Poles could cut him now and save some salary if he is claimed on waivers. Or keep him all season and hope to get some compensatory draft when he goes free agent. That’s what I read.

No one is going to give the Bears draft picks for Claypool. He hasn't demonstrated he's worth that much. They're better off cutting him.
