listening to multiple post games. 2 had valid points. CHGO the annoying fat one to paraphrase "This will continue to happen in Chicago b/c the Bears never have a conducive environment to develop a qb." Why? b/c there is no consistency on the team, no GM/HC/OC is around long enough to build an O that works long enough to allow them to draft and develop a qb into that system. It's constant turnover on all parts. GM turnover, HC turnover, OC turnover, a qb is always brought in to try and save the failing regime, and it fails and the new GM and staff don't want any part of the qb and look to bring in their own.
espn 1000 post post game, think it was Jason McKey? "No defenses have to worry about anyone on the Offense, outside of DJ Moore." You can cry and bitch and insist that this team has good WR's and weapons, and a good enough OL but reality constantly says different. The OL, when the team needs it to hold up, or get push, doesn't. CC wasn't good in Pitt that's why they traded him away. Mooney isn't a difference maker that teams have to worry about, that's why he constantly disappears in entire games. Fans over rate their team's players. We do it to, everyone insisted ARob was going to light it up w/a good qb, instead he disappeared in Chicago after Trubisky, and when he went to another team. He wasn't a difference maker #1 WR like we thought. Same goes for the group now. Moore is the only one that teams have to worry about; and it shows up on film. It's easy to stop 1 guy. Brax had no business being handed the LT job w/out competition, Jenkins had no right being handed the LG spot knowing his injury history; and knowing that history, Whitehair had no business being the starting C if he was the primary backup for OG. Everyone over rated the talent on this team; it is a sub .500 roster and that's not just b/c of the QB.
Hoge and Jahns called out Getsy also, Just started listening to them. They mentioned that the goalline screen at the end of the game had no business being called, and yet TB sniffed it out. that means something was giving the play call away, an OL or another player lining up a specific way, something in how the call is made, something. But they shouldn't have known that screen was coming, bc that screen should have never been called. IMO that is on Getsy, from the sounds of it, GB knew what was going to happen before the snap also. His playcalling is laughably predictable.
Outside of Moore, the only guy that shows potential to create problems for teams is RoJo and he can barely get 5 touches let alone 15-20. Fields is failing, likely ruined regardless of what he could have been. Next offseason is a new rebuild. Not sure how this coaching staff makes it through the season let alone the offseason. The entire makeup of this team is a mess.
btw MP, Big Ben Rothlisberger had a terrible 3rd year compared to his first 2. I remembered b/c there was talk of him being on a throw limit of under 35 for them to win; and his 3rd year they were trying to open up pass that. There are others that had small dips/slides but nothing quite like Big Ben.
