I think he could be physically.  Mentally?  I'm not sure he has the mental gears to be a great QB1 for us.  And Alex, I think the "mental gears" attribute is the one that has mostly killed us at QB for the last 40+ starting quarterbacks who have failed here (with a few notable exceptions... guys who had the mental gears but who didn't have the physical talent to be good).  I have finally come to think the mental part of the QB1 game is 90% of being successful at the NFL level.  When I watched Caleb Williams this season, he looked at times like the failed guys we already have had here.  Wilting under pressure and just not the same guy.  At the NFL level he will get 100-times the pressure that he has EVER experienced in college ball.  And the other mental stuff (outside of the game) like the running to his mom and crying after the one loss (I watched that game.... his teammates were hurting and watching their "leader" do that, they must have thought what the heck was THAT all about, right?).  His dad talking about not showing up if he doesn't "like" the team who drafts him - or the talk about wanting part-ownership of any team that drafts him... just mental-bizzarro stuff.   And, speaking about mental pressure, I think the Chicago fan base and media are brutal about applying pressure on any QB1 here.  LOL, would Caleb go crying to his mom when he gets roasted here in the media and by fans?  I don't know if he has the right stuff to stand up to that too. 

Could he be a great NFL quarterback though?  Sure.  But do we gamble this highest draft pick on a risky guy like this?  Man, I don't want to see yet another QB drafted here who doesn't have the mental gears to play the position well.  I don't.
