I still think this roster is missing a #2 WR.

Its going to be hard to pass up on one of these pa rushers that will fall at #9. With how bad our defense has been. We really need one. Also going to be hard to pass up on a top O-line prospect as well. Fields needs as much protection as possible.

We have 2 legit #2s at WR. Certainly have a #2 and #3. And we haven't even hit the draft yet.

Yeah, EDGE is the most important position that A) lacks a legit talent and B) can't be filled easily in FA.

Unless the draft board falls very unfavorably next month, edge is priority #1 for me. We need EDGE RUSHERS and those are almost impossible to get in any FA.

I’m happy to get you a DE in the second round. They will be there. Once you get past Anderson/Carter, there’s a whole crowd of DL guys and no real standouts, which is why there is no consensus on where they will fall in the draft.

One other thing. DJ Moore has had an endless carousel of QBs in his NFL career. Having Fields as his QB could be pretty sweet. Here's who he's had in the past:

I like to know who these two are.

Chase has shown nothing since coming here and putting faith in him as a #2 is very untrustworthy.

Mooney hasn't done much here even when Allen Robinson was taking away all his attention. The guy is a great #3 WR but he's not someone I could rely on to be my go to #2.

Both have put up multiple 800+ yard seasons. What exactly do you expect of a "#2 WR"?

Gotta disagree with you here. Moore--Mooney--Claypool is a solid WR group and we haven't even drafted yet.

That's simply false.

Carter isn't a DE so stop it. I know you love the guy but there's no way on God's green earth the McCaskeys are signing off on drafting a guy in the 1st round facing a possible jail sentence. You can stop rolling that grenade. It's not happening.

Van Ness and Wilson are both legit top-20 prospects at DE and you fully know that. They have both been mocked there many times and I know you seem to put a lot of stock in mock drafts.

I also noticed you dodged my question from earlier:
You got the #1 WR you wanted and the "Trey Lance deal" you wanted....do you have the guts to admit that? Or are you just gonna keep moving the goalposts?

Also, just checked DJs contract and I love it, this year we get a 20mil hit but next 2y we get only a 16mil hit per year!
With cap rising it will be a bargain!
And Im pretty sure we got another top 5-10 pick next year with Panthers O problems (now without DJ too) and tough division.
