Tell McPhee these wins are meaningless.
Tell Freeman these wins are meaningless.
Tell Trevatham these wins are meaningless.
Tell Young these wins are meaningless.
Tell Porter these wins are meaningless.
Tell Jeffery these wins are meaningless.
Tell Miller these wins are meaningless.
Tell Howard not to run so hard because these wins are meaningless.
Tell Meredith not to improve as a receiver because these wins are meaningless.
Tell the young secondary to stop trying to improve technique be wise these wins are meaningless.
Do you not understand that every week could be the last game for these players? Can I be there when you tell McPhee that he doesn't need to try so hard because you want to draft another pass rusher to take his place?
Instead he played his players regardless if they were the better player.
We're 2-6 and out of the playoff picture. This season is over already. Fox seems to be mailing it in as well.
Its a big difference being 4-4 rather than 2-6. One has a shot at the playoffs while the other needs to win every single game to even has a chance...
Now you are changing the argument again. What are we talking about here? Fox's failures as a head coach or your belief that losing creates winning? And at the risk of sounding like Mora...Playoffs? Whose mentioning playoffs? Again, stick to the argument you started above. Shifting the goal posts doesn't help you make your points like you think it does.
Are you or are you not arguing that losing will create winning? Telling your team to lose now, telling McPhee, Freeman, Trevathan, Young, Porter, Jeffery, Miller, Howard, Meredith and the young DBs that it would be better to lose now, to not play with intensity, to not give full effort, to not improve technique because that might create 'meaningless wins, in order words to.....not try.
Is this what you are arguing for? Or do you want to change arguments and discuss what a bad coach Fox is?
I hear ya, but having a potential top 8 egde player will help out the defense. We have to adress Cutler sooner or later, and if we are in a postion to do so this year, we pull the trigger. Either Garret or QB. I am not saying we need to suck for picks the next many years, but one season would do wonders. Imagine having Bosa over Floyd. Imagine Cooper over White. Suck for one year get a real game changer, and then you build on through the draft like Packers/NE and so on.
You rather have Cooper rather than White?
You rather have Bosa over Floyd?
Year after year we're force to take the player that didn't get pick rather than having real options.
I rather get that one true playmaker to build this team around. That is football after all.
