If Corny is the starting DE next year and no competition was brought in, the team will be just as bad at DL next year as it was the last 2 games....that's not good.
Corny isn't some rookie that is now going to explode onto the scene, he is what he is. Quality depth.
CornWash has made a lot of progress since his rookie year when they had him on the inactive list for most of the games. He still has not reached his full potential IMO. Do you think Bears will keep Unrein and let CornWash go free agent? Do you like that move?
The guy is 27 years old....when is he going to reach his full potential? When he's 30? Sooner or later your scholarship comes to an end.

There is a reason Unrien got his job back once healthy. But the reality is that the team needs a real 5 tech on both sides of Goldman, the sooner they get a stud there the better, and that stud isn't on this team right now.
Congratulations CornWash! He was signed to a 2-yr. $6 million contract with the Lions in the FIRST HOUR of free agency on Thursday. I am sorry to see him gone, but this is a good move for his career. Unless somebody thinks the Bears are going to start Unrein at DE again this year, this proves that Pace plans to draft J. Allen in the first round. I am OK with this so long as the gamble on taking Tampa Bay's backup QB for $45 million works out for us. I am trying to be optimistic about all this.

David! Good to see you back.
We need you to adopt another player. Glennon is open and he needs some love.
