This is off topic, but I'll ask it anyway. What do you guys see in Bullard? Does he look like he has any potential?
Bullard is a 280lb guy being asked to play a 5 tech DE position and he's a rookie. He's being overwhelmed physically by 315-330lb OTs and OGs whenever his first step can't win or he can't get his hands on them and use any leverage. He's raw right now.
IMHO in the offseason he needs to add 15-20lbs without losing his burst off the ball. Once his size and strength are up to NFL standards then I think we can judge him but now he's a lot like Henry Melton was as a rookie before he added the needed weight and strength to play DT or DE.

Thanks, Soul. I was wondering what others thought about him. That's good info ^^^^^
I have to admit that CornWash looked a lot better than Bullard yesterday. Bullard looked pretty bad. Real bad.
Those are low hurdles. That's like Leno being a better RT then JWebb nation or Cutler being the best Bears QB.
Corny wasn't very good yesterday; Bullard was also bad, which is the only reason Corny got the time he did. Bears need to keep drafting/bringing in FA's until they have legit starting/backup options. If next year Corny takes another step and becomes average then all the better.
One step at a time.... 1. Make 53-man roster. 2. Get into regular rotation. 3. Become starter. 4. Keep improving over last 5 games. 5. Get new contract for 2017. 6. CornWash, Golman, Hicks all healthy and productive on DL next year. Spend the FA $$$ on defensive backs.
If Corny is the starting DE next year and no competition was brought in, the team will be just as bad at DL next year as it was the last 2 games....that's not good.
Corny isn't some rookie that is now going to explode onto the scene, he is what he is. Quality depth.
That ain't right ... this must be some sort of doctored picture , cuz that ain't right boss .
I am pretty sure that it is an actual photo. It looks like most of the guys walking around. Wait... that color purple on his penis holster looks like it might have been doctored.

CornWash has made a lot of progress since his rookie year when they had him on the inactive list for most of the games. He still has not reached his full potential IMO. Do you think Bears will keep Unrein and let CornWash go free agent? Do you like that move?
I was just telling my wife this morning that the 1 thing missing on this new messageboard was a decent CornWash thread. Thanks for posting. My life is now complete :-)
welcome to the messageboard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Man, your poor wife.
CornWash really got blindsided by Lang, colliding at full speed. He got up and was back in the game for the next series. A lot of guys would have retreated to the locker room after that hit. It might be the hardest hit he has ever taken, certainly the hardest he has had in the NFL. He could have gotten the sack on Rodgers on that play. He beat his blocker, but the Bears had no containment on Rodgers from the other side. You MUST stay in your gap against Rodgers, or he will kill you every time. How many years will it take for our guys to learn this? Rodgers drives me crazy. Like Farve, I count the days until he is gone from the Packers.
