Notice the names at the TOP and the BOTTOM of this list. Nobody on this team (except Willie Young) penetrates into the opponents' backfield on passing plays as consistently as CornWash, and that is why he is at the top of the list, and Unrein at the bottom. The reason Unrein and Bullard suck at pass rushing in these grades is that a guy has to be strong as a horse to get into the backfield in a 3-4 defense with only 4 guys rushing (meaning lots of double-teaming). Hicks and CornWash are super strong physically, and Unrein and Bullard are not. That is the bottom-line on these numbers. It is past time for Unrein's demotion.
If our DB's did not allow 67% pass completions, all our linemen (except Unrein) would have a few more QB hits/sacks stats. It is really hard to get to the QB when your CB's play loose coverage. I watch Seahawks and Bears every week. Not only are they a contrast on talent level, but also in tactics. Third-and-long, the Hawks rush five guys and the CB's play TIGHT man-2-man coverage. I want the Bears to do more of that. Nothing is more painful to watch than a long, slow, steady TD drive against our defense. Get up on these receivers and challenge for the damn ball!
In closing, I am very confident that, if Bears start the 2017-18 season with these guys as our core rushers, we are going to have a hell of a pass rush…

Oh lord....who let him in here??!! Isn't there supposed to be a vote for these sort of things or something? Christ almighty!! Tell your boy to learn when the hell he's supposed to be on the field and when he isn't!!!

Despite people ripping on him, or more accurately you for this type of stuff, I'm a fan. I think he has looked very good this year while Unrein more often than not looks to lose ground every single play. It could be the lower reps he gets keeping him fresh to use his athleticism, but he is undeniably a keeper going forward.
I thought he played well last night too. As for the penalty, I didn't think it was a huge deal since he wasn't the only player/coach on the field when he should not have been.
The penalty was inexcusable. I expect CornWash has learned his lesson on this.
Regarding replies so far, I am happy to discuss/debate CornWash with any member. What I do not appreciate is guys who come here just to throw mud and exit.
For anybody who does not like this thread, the easy solution is don't read it.

Have any stats for penalties while on the sideline?
I think we need to cut him some slack for that. He saw Hicks celebrating an incompletion and no one was going for the ball least of all Hicks who is the guy who needs his ass kicked. That was exactly like the GB game where Rodgers fumbled and we gave up a TD when no one bothered to cover the ball.
I hope Fangio does some serious ass chewing during the film study this week. You play to the whistle always, every down. **** the celebrations some of these assclowns insist on doing. CWash got flagged but it was Hicks and the rest of the defense that actually caused it by not reacting to the ball.

HAHAH WELCOME davidl good to see ya here. Believe it or not your name comes up from time to time, oddly enough when ever Corny gets mentioned. I thought Corny played good and it looks like the bulb is starting to get brighter with him. He seems to chase down plays and is always trying to get near the ball. He has some hustle and speed which is nice to see on a big guy like him. The penalty.....baaaah like has been stated above it could have been called on a few guys. But I am surprised Fangio is not preaching about what Soul said above...YOU PLAY TIL THE WHISTLE BLOWS!!!!
