What would their record be if Cutler was healthy all season.

Putting aside what any talking head has to say the truth is when he's on his game and getting support Cutler is the very best QB the Bears have ever had. I'm simply backing that opinion with some facts as I always try to do.  Do we need a better one?  Sure.....if and when we find one and our past record of doing that is pretty lousy wouldn't you say?

Yes their track record is bad at finding Qb's in general as a team, but lately they are just rolling the same tire down the road. Cutler was not going to get beat out by anyone...unless it was like a surprising Dax situation in Dal....so in that, saying Jay is the best Qb they have had...is true...but it's not like he had a high bar to reach in Chicago lol  

Sharpe and Bayless are doing no more than offering the opinions they were solicited to provide.  We all know that ESPN always looks askance at the Bears and often at Cutler.  If you aren't aware of that I'd say most here are and would agree with my position. I have no time or desire to produce links for something that's a commonly accepted fact.

If it is that common "in fact" then finding a link or actual proof should be no problem lol and i mean actual proof!!!! not opinion from the left, right, liberal, or insane...

I didn't produce the ESPN data to debate that point anyway.  I produced it for its statistical relevance to support what I have always claimed.  If you give Cutler some support defensively, a decent game plan and play calling, and don't ask him to carry the team on his back or win in a shoot out he wins more than he loses.  In most cases a lot more.  Don't do that and he loses more than he wins.  Those are simple facts.

That's all I'm saying seqq.  When I compare his stats to those of other gunslinger QBs like Elway and Favre I'm not doing it to nominate him for the HOF too.  I'm doing it to show that his stats are roughly the same as two HOF QBs who were fortunate enough for most of their careers to have played on better teams.  I've seen a ton of games both of those QBs played and they made just as many bonehead throws as Cutler ever has so I have a different perspective than many Bears fans and I don't need two talking heads to speak for me in support of what my eyes have seen.  Can you claim the same?

I don't need Skip or others lol I just agree with them that there is no need to invest more in Jay. Referencing gun slingers that needed players like Reggie White and Terrell Davis to win SuperBowls doesn't make me feel better about Jay...maybe they will land a superfreak to help out someday, but they can drop Jay for pennies and start fresh...i'm fine with the dropping Jay approach.  

At least when Favre caused a stupid pick we all cheered whereas with Cutler we boo but stupid is still stupid and doesn't change with the jersey you wear.

Maybe you meant to word this differently, cus of course we cheer when Favre/Rodgers throw a pick...and boo when Cutler does...that is normal behavior and i can't figure out what the heck you are trying to say...so moving on...


In reality the less of a gunslinger the Bears ask Cutler to be the better he plays.  Gase recognized that last year, made changes, and Cutler improved.  We all saw that.  Given a healthier offense and half a chance I actually saw things for the first time in the Minny game that indicate to me if he has the freedom to do it Dowell Loggains is a far better play caller than I've been giving him credit for when he's not handcuffed by a dink and dunk passer and a HC who only plays not to lose.

You can't take the gunslinger out of any of them imo...Gase may have done that for one year, but Gase is no longer here, so the debate will rest in time.

Well I am, and I can tell you that it can have a very profound impact on both my moods and my performance.  At Cutler's age it will have less of an impact as it did with me but those will increase as he gets older.  How many fans even know or consider that he has an incurable diabetic condition that requires constant evaluation and treatment yet he never excuses himself because of it.

No i am not diabetic, and using that as a defense is really ehhh in perspective of the conversation. We are not talking about Betty down in shipping..
..if it does cause such mood swings, and they are not preventable or able to somewhat consistently control the mood swings with the millions Jay makes, then that is just another point against Jay imo...Not cus i hate diabetics, but because it has a negative effect on the team in this case. 

I'm fed up with hearing that type of shit about Cutler.  Aaron Rogers throws his helmet in disgust and he gets a pass but if Cutler does it it's front page new for a week.  And don't tell me you've never seen Brady, or Rivers, or Manning get in the faces of players when they **** up but let Cutler give JWebb a little shove as he's walking off laughing about getting whipped for a sack and again it's a national catastrophe.  **** that shit.

Media has been trolling public emotions for years...doesn't mean they treat people in stories differently for who they are as people...just that they will emphasize a situation for website hits.

This team supports him even if his HC and some fans don't and if by chance we do move on from him next year I suspect it will be far better for him and his career than it will be for the Bears and their fans as we once again descend into QB hell with Hoyer or a string of other much like him as we've made do with in the past.
