Meh. Every team deals with injuries. The Vikings are 5-2 despite losing Adrian Peterson, Teddy Bridgewater and most of their O-Line. I think the Bears are a 2-6 team. Fox and co. need to learn to adapt to injuries by building better depth.
Kind of like some people did with Hoyer huh? Funny that some people claimed they could tell that the team played better for Hoyer yet to a man the players claimed other wise.

I'm sorry...maybe it is the heavy joyful drinking watching the Cubs game, but i really don't know what the f##k you mean in that lol
All i'm saying is Jay is still Jay. I really hate these TV shows...i am not a fan of either...came across it on a YouTube search for the replay of the full game, and for some reason i am using their conversations AGAIN because they present some views i completely agree with.
Do you know what his career record is when the defense keeps an opponent under 20 points? Probably not huh? It's 46-8. So whenever we can score 20 points and the other guys score 19 or less we win 85% of those game. If Cutler had played for the '80s Bears we would have won three Super Bowls and he'd have a bronze statue outside SF.
How about his record under Lovie before Emery showed up and the wheels began to fall off? He's was 34-22 in those 56 starts for a 61% winning percentage. He's 51-49 now so that means he's gone 17-27 since right. What was our defense like under Tucker ranked what 30th and 31st giving up an average of over 27 points per game?
How many of those 27 losses do you wanna hang on Cutler?
He had one of the best years in his career last year and two of those six wins were pretty much all him. In the first 1 1/2 games he played this year his QBR was over 100 and he an AJ pretty much were the entire offense 'til halftime when the other guys made adjustments we had no answer for and the wheels fell off.
Last night after 5 weeks off with little time to prepare he not only beat one of the best defense in the NFL but he basically dominated them most of the game and the defense did their part as well. WTF do you all want from the guy? Give him some protection, a running game, and keep him out of a shooting match and he wins most of his games.
Who else do we have who can do that......Hoyer? LOL He can't even score 20 points a game so no matter how well the defense plays he won't win. You did see the Indy and Jax games right? I get it that it's consider "cool" to rip on the guy but without him this team is in a much bigger world of hurt than it has been with him for the past eight years.
If you don't like him then at least get someone better but until then take Kristin's advice and everyone just STFU.

Well if you're trying to sell me on this and anyone else who knows much about the game then you best find someone better than Skip Bayless and The Mouth from the South to plead your case. I already told you how even Bronco fans feel about Sharpe's opinions. Just shove a mic in front of him and he'll say whatever you ask him to say and Bayless is considered a complete joke and an arrogant idiot by most everyone. His lack of pro level knowledge has been exposed so many times I shocked he still has a job. He's a click bait opinion guy just like Rosenrant. Two peas in a pod most days.
ESPN hates Cutler but even this guy has to admit that when the team plays well and it's not up to just him to win in a shootout he wins games. Lots of games.
Ric wants to claim that even last night he made some dangerous throws. Well ya' know all QBs do that and the better ones make them payoff because if you don't make any throws but the safe ones like Hoyer did you won't win many games. The end zone is inside the 20 yard line and Hoyer does his best work outside the 20 which is why he couldn't win the Indy and Jax games but about 90% of knowledgeable fans figure Jay probably could have.
My other point here is that only a handful (4 or 5 at most) of NFL QBs can win shootouts and Cutler isn't one of them because he's never had the type of offense or protection that would allow for that. Jim McMahon wouldn't have won many shootouts either.
But when we stop expecting Cutler to win all by himself and he gets some support he does win far more often than he loses. But to see and understand that requires some research and analytical skills far beyond what Shannon Sharpe or Skip Bayless are capable of and several million more Bears fans as well who'll believe whatever assholes like these guys say on TV but are too lazy to dig up facts themselves or even watch other games to see other QBs doing the same dumb things Cutler does at times but thinking he's the only one who does them.
Talk about a bunch of fucking ostriches. Don't be one of them that's all I'm saying.
Jay Cutler is 46-8 when he gets help from his defense by Bryan Perez
Much has been made of Bears quarterback Jay Cutler's 51-49 record as a starter in Chicago, but after watching him lead his team to an upset victory over the Vikings in Week 8, it's hard to fathom how a player as talented as he is can only be slightly above .500.
Dig deeper and you'll find out why. Mike Sando of ESPN tweeted a chart that showed Cutler's win-loss record in games which his defense played well and games that the defense played poorly. The results are pretty astonishing.
Defense does matter. All numbers in chart are since 2006. @chicagobears pic.twitter.com/cz7oeBPeUK

Since 2006 -- Cutler's rookie season -- the veteran is 46-8 when his defense surrendered 20 points or less in a game. The results aren't so pretty when opposing teams scored 21 or more, as Cutler's record plummets to 22-62.
The chart isn't broken down to Bears-specific games, but the bigger picture view of Cutler's career shows that if his defense gives him a chance, he's an elite winner. An 85-percent winning percentage is nothing short of insane.
The numbers proved correct in Week 8. Chicago's defense gave up only 10 points to the Vikings and Cutler delivered the win. He played mistake-free football, in part, because he didn't have to quarterback with a must-score mentality.
Love him or hate him, Cutler is going to be the Bears' quarterback for the foreseeable future. With no viable alternative on the roster, and with performances like last night's that prove his value, it would be a complete shock if Cutler was not the starter in Chicago in 2017 and beyond.
Plus we can tell from a tv broadcast that Cutler's teammates just play better when he isn't in there. The OL blocks better, the WR run better routes, the RB hit the holes faster....
I mean even last night players were saying how much they preferred Hoyer to Cutler. It was obvious to anyone watching the broadcast.
The main reason I started this thread wasn't really to say that Cutler is good or bad or anything like that. The reason I started it was to bring attention to the fact that having a competent QB makes a huge difference. Having a QB that has some balls makes a difference. Playing safe can be very helpful but you still need that killer instinct. Every great QB in history will say that you can't be afraid to throw an INT, you just can't. Turnovers are going to happen but you still have to take some risks.
I think a hybrid of Cutler and Hoyer would make for a pretty solid QB.

hybrid of Cutler and Hoyer would make for a probably best QB in Bears history, or at least last 50y
