I know this is wild speculation. As Lovie would say, there's still a lot of football left to play. But, if the Bears would let Fox go at some point this season, or at the end of the year, is there someone you'd like for the Bears to consider?
I'd have to do a lot more research into NFL assistants but I can say right now neither Todd Haley or Josh McDaniel would be on my list.
One guy who does come to mind though is one we passed on when Emery hired Trestman who isn't already a HC.......Dave Toub. Vic Fangio might be a consideration short term but long term it would depend a lot on who he could get to run the offense.
Todd Haley Jim Harbaugh (I know won't happen and he likes it at Michigan) Josh McDaniels
No Todd, or Josh.. They are better assistants than Head Coaches.. I doubt it that Harbaugh will leave Michigan..
+1 We often think that just because a guy is a solid coordinator, that they will make a good head coach. But in reality, it often turns out bad. The assumption is that the guy, if he's a coordinator guru, will make that side of the ball stellar at the new gig, and also be a solid head coach. But often, in the new gig, they can't give their undivided attention to the coordinator role - and - they fail at the HC role because it is a totally different job that requires a skill set that is different too.
I'm starting to wonder if we should really be talking about scientific ways to bring this guy back...might be quicker than finding anything legit that is living lol

You all are just torturing yourselves thinking about this. Fox isn't going anywhere this year or the next. It would cost the Bears too much dead money right now.
On top of that getting rid of two coaches back to back after only two years for each would make it nearly impossible to bring in any decent candidates. No coach worth a shit will want to work for a team where ownership demands a complete rebuild of team in only two years or you're fired. This is especially true when many of the teams's current problems can be directly attributed to injuries.
