What he needs to do is show consistency and do it against great defenses. When I see highlights against a Charger team who was missing half of their roster including most of their defensive players I laugh at that. If we're going to pay him like a top 3 WR we need plays like that.

I mean Barkley targeted Jeffery the second most in a single game while only having 3 catches. 11 Targets for 3 catches...

We will see how Jeffery does against the Vikings. We will see if it was Barkley and Hoyer holding back Jeffery or if this who Jeffery really is.

Thats nice that he targeted him...News Flash...IT WAS MATT BARKLEY THROWING THE BALL!!! Just because he targeted him doesn't mean they were remotely catchable....or did you not watch that game?

Are you really trying to compare College Football to NFL? You're reaching hard with that comparison.

I thought we couldn't use that Cowboys game? Remember McCown was facing a terrible defense. So does that make Jeffery great and McCown great or not? You can't have it both ways.

I mean come on...

No what's elite about AJ Green is he has 1,000+ stats every single season he's been in the NFL. Might not be huge numbers like Jones but he has them. He is a guy who can make plays like that video.

LMAO!!!!!!!! I'm reaching? You can either make the catch or you can't. The ball wasn't batted to him...he MADE the catch. Further, while the cowboys defense may have been terrible it doesn't change the fact that he made the catch with guys...plural...DRAPED all over him in the very corner of the end zone. It was an amazing catch regardless. Just take the L on this one. You're wrong...it's ok. I just showed 3 videos of Alshon making sick plays...apparently no factor. What is this reality you live in? I want to take a trip there.

And I'm not trying to say Green isn't elite...he very clearly is. What I am saying is that Alshon is very, very good and could be borderline elite(thats factoring a host of things you'll never take into consideration). The salary cap is going up. Teams put a premium on receivers that possess the skills that Alshon has, there are a host of teams with ample salary cap room...Alshon is going to get PAID whether it be by us or by someone else. Alshon is one of the best players the Bears have, they have nobody on the roster they can replace him with, there is nobody available in free agency this off season that is even remotely close in talent. I would prefer they use the AMPLE salary cap space they have to retain one of the best players on the team instead of letting yet again another one of our talented players to go to another team to prosper. None of what I just said can be disputed.

I never said he was a bum.

I just don't believe he's elite. Not on the level of Green and Jones.

I went on for the record to say sign him for less than top 5 or use some of Cutler's free cap to help pay for him. ( If released )

I want this team to be competitive. We just got out of one bad contract no reason to have another one unless we have the cap space to do it.
