Nah...it's pretty clean...maybe if you were swimming in the Hudson thats a different story.
Kind of like The Great Salt Lake. Except the reason you float is because of the solids.
I used to have a teacher in high school who was from the Bronx and he used to tell us stories of swimming in the hudson...he'd say "We used to do the breast stroke kid...to get the crap out of the way." lol...he was a tough bastard...intimidating as hell.

I really like New Jersey (love the food out there too). My wife and I are driving to New Jersey tomorrow. My son and daughter are both students out there for grad school, and we're gonna visit them. I'm looking forward to seeing them.
