You can't discount a GMs draft because players got hurt. If they draft players that don't fit the scheme or just don't have the talent then they are to blame, but not injuries. Langford hasn't regressed, he played 2.5 games this year and was having a good game against the Cowboys.
You're going to embarrass yourself if you want to compare Howard to Elliott. Howard has been great for two games but Elliott has already proven why he was a high draft pick. I can't imagine any NFL team would take Howard over Elliott right now.
Elliott has been great for only 3 games. Howard 2. Elliott has been playing since week 1 while Howard first full game was week 4. So can you tell me again how Elliott is way better than Howard?
With a team needing all the starters we can get its strange that all of our 2015 picks besides Goldman would easier be depth for any other team.
White is getting outplayed by a QB who just turn to WR
Langford is getting outplayed by our new rookie RB
Grasu is getting outplayed by our rookie guard
Amos is playing solid enough to stay on the team for now as a starter
Our free agent signings that are still on the team ain't much better. Mcphee with his knee issue, Acho is terrible, and Royal has injury concerns.
Where I'm coming at is this team is in total rebuild. How many quality above average starters did we truly get last year compared to this year?
I love how you claim that certain players are being outplayed when they are injured. Of course they are getting outplayed, they're not on the field.
I would like to see Langford run behind the line now and see how he does. The OL has improved since week 1 and I would like to see Howard and Langford running together. Only then would we know for sure but I do think Howard is better, but I don't think Langford is as bad as most think. Howard wasn't doing well when the OL sucked early either.
I dare you do poll the general public and also fine a consensus from NFL experts on who is the best rookie RB in the league. I think you'll find that Elliott is considered one of the best overall RBs in the league, not just rookies. This is about Howard not being really good, because I think he is, but Elliott has proven that he was worth his draft position. I guarantee you won't hear anyone in the Cowboys organization say that they regret drafting him.
