Here is our draft picks:

Now looking at them how many are truly doing good?

Kevin White - 3.5 games out of 32 and with those few games he played he looked average at best.
Eddie Goldman - The only guy who looked above average out of all the players we drafted last year.
Hroniss Grasu - A guy who is now replaced by our new drafted Cody Whitehair and will most likely end up as depth
Jeremy Langford - A guy who is now replaced by our new drafted Jordan Howard and will most likely end up as depth
Adrian Amos - I like his hits and all but what can he do? He got exposed last week and gave up a TD. He isn't really a playermaker. Is this guy truly starter material?
Tayo Fabuluje - No where to be found

Now let's go with the big Free agents:

Pernell McPhee:

He started off pretty strong and was a warm welcome to the team. He added the pass rush this team needed for us to run a 3-4. After injury however the the choice to play him again makes me very concern about his knee issue. Some say the Ravens didn't sign him because of that issue while others point at the cap space. When he comes back will he play like he was pre-injury or will the injury forever stick to him?

Eddie Royal:

Many loved to hate on Royal and rightfully so. The injury last year really did feel like yet another let down. He is producing now but the problem is he's 30. That isn't so great if you're rebuilding. I will say if he keeps up this performance maybe he can become another bright spot of that lack luster 2015 season.

Antrel Rolle:

A man who we all thought would help lead this secondary turn out to be a man who helped made this secondary worse. He was dump the next year do to his lackluster performance.

Sam Acho:

A man who played so poorly against the Colts weak Offensive line and was graded the worst Pass Rusher by PFF that week.

Let's go to coaching and look at our past OC.

Adam Gase:

Who literally made Cutler have the best year of his career at a QBR of 92.3

The main point of this thread was what was the true point of our 2015 season? Was it really a wasted year for 1 future player who is above average drafted by us? Having 1 good pick isn't how you're going to rebuild this team. Then we finally found the guy who could make Cutler look good, gone because this team was too stubborn to drop Fox and hire this man? Can you even truly count the 2015 year as year 1 of the rebuild with how many lackluster players we got and getting rid of a OC that made our offense look good?

Jury is still out on the draft class...
Goldman is legit, Langford belongs on a NFL roster and Amos is a solid starter. Grasu could become something. Royal has doing good when healthy, Problem is he wasn't healthy. Rolle was already cut and just a Body. We all love McPhee when he played healthy.
What about Timu signing?

Timu is ok against the run but don't ask him to defend against the pass. Seeing how NFL is more of a passing league today you ain't going to get far if you can't stop the pass.

Langford yes as depth
Amos I mean has he done anything special? He seems to do enough to get by. He just got beat recently for a TD. He's a hard hitter yes but that's it. Would any team really put him as their FS if all he can do is hit? It be nice to see him get a pick. Heck putting Fuller there might be better than having Amos at FS.

We all loved Mcphee but that was before is knee problem. He's one bad injury away from being out. Heck we don't even know if he can play the same way he did.

1 great starter as of last year. With 2 having injury concerns ( Mcphee and Royal ).

you can't forsee season ending injuries. That's not something that can be argued.

That draft was good enough, the free agents weren't really good but it was the first offseason knowing he got the Job in february. You could see that his 2nd offseason was better when it Comes to Free Agents. Trevethan, Freeman and Hicks help us and are contributors. Sitton fell to him but he still needed to sign him. That added with Whitehair, Howard and Bullard and you see a much better offseason with better and more preparation. We don't know what is on Fox and what is on Pace. I think Trevethan is more on Fox while I think the other FAs are on Pace. Draft picks, I don't know. I know that next year the 1st round pick has to be a guy that contributes day 1.

There is no way to complain about this years FA class, it's full of hits. The only misses are trading Bennett and not re signing Forte and outright releasing Slauson who might be a backup now, but to start TC, before the ability to sign Sitton, is starting at LG/OC.

I thought it was a pretty solid draft class. Injuries make it look really bad but to be able to start that many guys is great, or it means your team is just that terrible I suppose.

White's injuries have kept him from showing us what he can do. I saw improvement in each game so I still think he can be good.
Goldman showed he's a stud and hopefully will continue to be. Another player with an injury though.
Langford may not have shown that he can be the starter but I certainly think he's shown he's an asset in the backfield. Another player with an injury.
Grasu actually outperformed what was expected of him when forced to start. I think he would have looked good this year but yet again, an injury.
Amos has been the star of the draft class after Goldman. I think most people would consider him a steal in that draft considering what round he was drafted in and the production he's offered.
Fabuluje was your typical late round draft pick failure. Not really a disappointment.

Thing is we only got one true new above average player in last years draft. That was Goldman with another guy who has been average at best being Amos. Would Amos really be a starter in any other team if this team wasn't so empty of talent?

Langford and Grasu have been outshine by Howard and Whitehair and will most likely never be starters after seeing these 2 players. That's 2 players gone right there. Then you have White, a guy who played 3.5 games out of 32.

Then you have Free Agents. We had so many bad picks last year that ain't even on the team in which I didn't list. Players like Ball, McDonald, and etc... Our best player of last years FA has a knee issue that can affect the rest of his football career.

Then having our best OC leave because Pace or McCaskey rather have Fox here than someone who understands offenses.

If you look back into 2015 and see the long term starters who rightfully deserve that starting spot you only have Goldman. Compare that to this year with Whitehair, Howard, Trevathan, Freeman, Hicks, and Sitton.

MOTM Can you give me next mo's lotto #'s, and who is going to win the next 3 WS's? B/c your ability to know what 1st and 2nd year players are going to be is outstanding.

Amos might be more then above average, time will tell, Langford can be a hell of a 2nd RB(something you yourself are very high on as you don't want an elite rb) There is no way of knowing what Grasu will be as injuries have hampered him, but if he becomes a backup swing OG/OC then that's a good draft pick(see all the injuries to the OL this team has experienced).

Just like this year, no way of knowing what these guys will become. You cannot judge a player until after their 3rd year(in general).

This team just doesn't need starters, they need depth, so while difference makers are big, if you have nothing to back them up it's pointless. McPhee/Houston/Goldman/Danny T all difference makers; what good are they if they aren't on the field? The backups have to be quality also. Right now the team might not have hit on the high quality guys enough, but they are hitting on quality depth and solid starters. That's something that is also required.
