I sometimes wonder if the problems are more. It seems year after year we always have the same problems. New coaches, schemes and etc.. and this franchise is dead in the water. What if the problem is McCaskey? Remember with the Blackhawks how with new ownership became a much different team? What we need is something similar to the Patriots and Kraft. Someone who cares about Football and wants to see his team win. He hires the best and doesn't interfere. There is a reason that franchise has been so dominated the past 15+ years.
I think the problem is the Mc's don't have anyone on staff that is capable of hiring a GM/HC. They keep hiring out firms b/c no one in HH is capable of doing the hires. Your family has been involved in the NFL for generations now, how do you not know, or have connections to find the top GM/HC candidates?
None of us has a clue what's going on at Halas Hall . If they think Pace is in over his head , they'll know it and fire him . If they think there's more to the story and he deserves more time , they'll do that ... and the same goes for Fox .
I doubt the brass is gonna ignore bad mojo if they know it's there . And I doubt they're gonna ignore good mojo if they know it's there also ( even if the results on the field haven't started happening yet ) .
Seems too early to make those kinds of calls yet imo .
That is probably the best post I've read here in weeks ^^^^^

Just for beating of the dead horse...I give you Chip Kelly!!!
In response to a question regarding his reason for not concealing his plan at quarterback until the weekend, Kelly explained that it wouldn’t have worked.
“Well, I think we live in a society, number one, that there are no secrets,” Kelly told reporters. “So, if Colin took all the reps with the ones on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, somebody’s ‘mole’ would have told them who was taking all the reps, you know what I mean? And I don’t really care. We have two similar quarterbacks. Our offense doesn’t change. I don’t think you’re going to outsmart people in the National Football League where all of a sudden if the second quarterback’s playing that Rex [Ryan] is going to tear up his game plan and say, ‘We’re screwed. We have no idea how to defend him.’
