Any chance Hoyer's numbers will be better than Jay's?

By observation Hoyer's performance tonight was really no better or worse than Jay's when he has the kind of time to throw Hoyer had most of the night. Dallas doesn't have much of a pass rush to begin with and there were few if any blitz's or stunts so even Massie managed to hold his own for once. Overall I thought Hoyer played as well as he's capable of and at the level you'd expect and vet backup to play at but he didn't win either so nothing was gained there. He made some nice throws to Miller once he or Loggains finally learned there was a middle of the field and he had time to find him after Miller got open. So kudos to Miller. He played a great game. We rushed a grand total of 12 times for 76 yards but all but 17 yards of the came on two runs so we averages just 1.7 ypc on the other 10. Not exactly the stuff ball control football is made of. Down 24-3 at the half and having held the ball for just over 10 minutes out 30 my guess is Foxy finally had to give in and allow us to start throwing the ball again in the second half.
So in Fox's terms of seeing things did Hoyer have a hotter hand than Cutler. I don't think so. Cutler had QBRs well over 100 in the first half to the first two games but then got destroyed by the pass rush in the second half. Hoyer had a first half like Cutler's second halves sans the abuse from getting sacked and hit on half his drops so at least he stayed less bruised and beaten. The best that can be said is that Hoyer gives us a chance to win which is what you expect from a #2 guy. Will he is he plays next week? With that defense and no run game I doubt it. The Lions put up 27 on GB today and we're hurting far more on defense than they are at the moment so I'm expecting an 0-4 start.
One more thing I am interested in though. Will Bears fans and the media be as judgemental of Hoyers fumble which essentially destroyed what little hope the Bears had of rallying for another TD or will that get overlooked and he gets a pass Cutler would never get. I'm looking forward to reading the comments of the Chicago and national media about that one.
