Right now Hoyer's passer rating is better than Jay's (91.7 vs 75.7 - LINK). Granted it is a tiny sampling. No need for anyone to post the inevitable post about stats being "meaningless" here... I get that stats don't paint the whole picture by any means. I just wonder if Hoyer could end up looking better than Jay this year. Or not?

Well considering that I like chaos...that would be interesting. And funny and fun to watch. I voted its possible. What if Hoyer has better numbers but the teams is 0-6 when Cutler is healthy? What if Hoyer has worse numbers and the team is 4-2? That would be interesting.

Regarding Jay is 75.7 Brian could be better, im not sure what his career average is but probably over 75... Hopefully our T's can keep him alive

I think Hoyer puts up slightly better numbers. I expect more turnovers but I also expect a lot of passes to White with plenty of safe short passes to Royal, White and Langford.
I expect him to play better because I expect the OL to improve. I also realize I probably expect too much. Plus like 4Da said, there is the Massie factor.

I watched Hoyers' first series. The reason his numbers are better is because the Iggles went into a prevent defense. The Iggles weren't defending anything within 5 to 7 yards of the Line. Particularly in the middle of the field. Guess where all of Hoyers' throws went. When the Bears got down to the red zone Hoyers' first pass to the end zone was an INT. It was also the first pass that was contested.
