Whitehair struggled at C early in the year (so much for those year 2 Pro-Bowl predictions!) but he stabilized as the season went on. I think he will be good at either C or G but they need to make a decision this offseason and that's it. Pick one and leave him there.
Biggs says there is an internal debate whether to keep Whitehair at C or move him to G.
Personally, I’m fine with Whitehair at G & there’s a very nice FA market for C.
Just personal opinion but I think the #Bears move from Sitton. New OL coach, scheme, etc.
One of the first things general manager Ryan Pace must do is make a decision on the future of left guard Josh Sitton, who was a team captain in 2017. He has a team option for 2018 that must be exercised between Feb. 9, five days after Super Bowl LII, and March 9, five days before the start of the new league year. Sitton is due to earn $8 million with a $7.4 million base salary, $500,000 in per-game roster bonuses and a $100,000 workout bonus — but only if the team picks up the option.
Generally speaking I like Aaron Lemming's take on things but the roadblock here that may create a quandary is Sitton's option must be exercised before Pace will have had an opportunity to replace him with a younger version like Norwell and long before the draft where he might take Nelson as his replacement.
Along with re-signing Fuller I believe his may be on of the tougher decisions Pace will have to make. Sitton can still play a a high level so keeping for another year won't hurt us a all. AND given Longs multiple offseason surgeries it may not be a bad idea at all to keep him despite his contract UNLESS we can sign Norwell but we won' know that 'til after 3/16.
Moving Whitehair to OG and playing Kush at OC or vice versa may be a solution but is it a good solution?
Count me as one whose sick of seeing us release productive players BEFORE having an adequate replacement in hand. I'd rather see us end up with both Sitton and Norwell than neither of them, miss out on Nelson, and find that camp has arrived and Long is sill not 100%. Instability at OG last season hurt us big time and it's not something we should accept again.

Thanks for pointing out the option and decision date. In that case, I keep Sitton. We can’t count on signing Norwell or drafting Nelson.
Much like the CB situation, I see no need to create new holes on the roster when we aren’t tight against the cap.

Interesting tweet.
At that point I think we have three options. This year the market for C is very good indeed. We could easily go after Travis Swanson, Brian Schwenke or Ryan Jensen w/o breaking the bank and move Whitehair to G. => Leno - Whitehair - FA C - Long - Massie
Or keep Whitehair at C, draft Nelson and hope Long will come back 100%. => Leno - Nelson - Whitehair - Long - Massie
Or (my favorite scneario) sign Andrew Norwell, keep Whitehair at C and let Long, Sitton and Kush battle for the RG spot. => Leno - Norwell - Whitehair - Long/Sitton/Kush - Massie

Interesting since the OL scheme should remain largely the same, KC uses zone blocking also also. And Nelson won't be there, again Indy and Den both have needs on the OL, and aparently so does TB. That's 3 teams w/needs for OG and somehow Nelson, the highest rated lineman is dropping to 8? Bears could only be so lucky.
