tl:dr----brasil rambles on about Glennon and really doesn't say anything that will add to your life. So.......
I didn't like the Glennon signing from the get-go (although I liked the idea of taking two swings at the QB position), that doesn't make me a football savant. Just means I got lucky with one of my opinions. What strikes me now and I don't know how to process is the following:
(1) Did Pace really believe Glennon capable of being more than a bridge QB? (2) Did he actually just spend $16 mil on a decoy?
I'm not sure you can argue both at the same time. If he wasn't a decoy than Pace just made a huge mistake in a player evaluation. If he was just a decoy then why not start Mitch from the beginning? I realize we aren't going to answer this question to anyone's satisfaction.
Personally, I blame Fox for everything so I guess there is that to consider. But it's hard to believe that Fox thought Glennon gave him the best chance of winning games. So does that reflect back on Pace and his insisting that Glennon was the starter?
I'm sure there is a life lesson here somewhere....
