Some guys take longer to develop than others. The Browns may have cut him but Seattle was hot to sign before we got in front of them in the waiver order. The kid showed me a lot more in a short period of time than Fales or Clausen ever did.
He's a bit below prototypical NFL QB size so he's not gonna be a fit for every team but he may have enough talent to become someone's #2. That's about all he was ever gonna be here anyway.
Maybe the leg has been slow to heal too so it could be just that he's not ready for OTAs yet and few teams will have a QB at his level on the roster if they can't even practice. If he still wants to play and can play he'll pop up somewhere.
Actually, I was pulling for him. I pull for all of these long-shot undrafted kids each summer. I can't fault the guy for trying to make his dream come true. It just goes to show you how difficult it is to make it as a QB in the NFL. Even first round draft picks bust. Undrafted kids? Pretty tough odds there.
Ah man I had high hopes for Seals, I figured in 2-3 years he had the ability to be our #1 WR for the next decade, the Conner Shaw of the WR group if you will
