Apparently I'm not the only one that feels this way, Hub basically just said the same thing about the trade. He didn't think another team was going to take Trubisky either.
Wonder how the Bears running would have been last years if Pace would have given away picks last years, even if Howard was nothing more then dumb luck. So yes late round picks are important and yes not all the time, but every pick has a chance of being that one great pick
Last years 3rd and 4th pick? It would have been fine b/c Howard was a 5th; Bullard was the 3rd(hint he didn't see the field), their 4ths were all db's(hint they were mostly so bad they couldn't find the field and the team had to bring in a ton of FA's to start over).
And your so smart that you know if Pace had trade up last year he wouldn't have thrown in 5th rounder.

People can speculate all they want. We know Lynch said there were other competitive offers and Rapaport confirmed it. I'll defer to the butcher rather than stick my head up the bull's ass, here.

Maybe another team wouldn't have taken him. Who knows. But if Pace truly feels Trubisky is a very special young franchise QB for us, then I certainly understand him not leaving this to chance. Get the guy. Don't dink around and let the guy go to another team.

I agree with everything except the bull's ass... which is a little weird....

This year they traded that 2nd pick, fell back 9 spots and got 2 4ths(this year and next year). So they only lost a 3rd to move up 1 spot. It's not even a worry now. Everyone should be quite happy, there was no massive loss of picks that won't really do much in the long run.

No there are several people that are stating that b/c they didn't like the trade from the get go; and thought that the Bears were going to actually trade Trub to the Browns for the 12th and more picks(Hub). Which was also incorrect(really good theory btw).
I'll take the 2 groups that actually that were actually in the know(SF and Chi) then those that are speculating and weren't in the know(proven by the fact they didn't know Chi wanted Trub to begin with).

I think he meant Bears ass, not a Bulls (or Blackhawks for that matter). It was just a typo.
