Skipping the Senior Bowl is a mistake for him. No one really cares what you do number wise, as a QB. They just have to be average. They want to see you run a NFL offense. The Senior Bowl is where you showcase that.
I don't think it impacts him in the slightest.
So then you are saying that you think it impacts him in the mostest?

Sure
I'd like to know more about his knee brace --- is it protecting a weak knee? Is it something he does to try to protect it from being injured? etc.
But in general, he is a guy that I think would really benefit us. And it sucks to say when you are picking at #3, but there is a more than 50% (IMO) chance that he will already be gone before we pick. I just have no way of knowing if Pace even wants him, and if he does.... if he would pick him that high. Just because I think something should be done has no bearing on what he will do.
Too long of a damn wait when you don't make it into the playoffs at any level. We have all been sitting for a while and the official season is still not even over yet. We've been looking forward to the off season for weeks while the regular season has not even wound down yet.
The FT tag stuff is the first stuff that needs to be addressed when the season is over. Not super exciting stuff.

If there's anything actually concerning about his knee it will be revealed before the draft.

From everything he's said he just feels more comfortable with it on. Like I said...he ran for over 1000 yards the year after he tore it, and over 600 yards this year I believe, so I think his knee is in pretty good shape.

might be. It's just one of those things I'd be concerned about and be trying to really understand (I'm sure the teams feel the same way). All Watson (as anyone in the draft would do) is going to say is that the knee is fine and either he feels comfortable with it, he uses it to make sure he won't get injured, etc. But the guy has two knees. I guess he's only worried about getting one of them injured.
As I say, maybe nothing there, but I'd want to be sure.

As I pointed out, there are several QB's who wear knee braces on their plant legs. Virtually all offensive linemen wear knee braces. This is much ado about nothing. Either way he's going to be medically examined at the combine so I really wouldn't worry about it one way or the other. If he run for over 1000 yards the year after tearing it, I somehow doubt there is weakness in the knee.

Agreed. IMO he will be a top 5 pick (if not a top 3 pick). Possibly the #1 pick.
All he can do at this point is screw that up by having an off day, getting hurt, etc.
He is better off focusing on the combine and whatever private meetings he will have with various teams.

all i know is he can roll left and right and doesn't show any signs of being slowed up by injury.
