When we drafted Shea, at the time I said for DE we should have went w/Jones or LB we should have went w/Whitney, just wanted to throw that in there b/c he's been killing for a few years now.
here's the crazy thing, they've had 2 picks inside the top 10 in the last 10 years. So while they haven't been great they haven't been terrible either.
When I think about what Emery did to this organization my heart rate always rises.

And to think I actually liked him early on. Wow. I got totally fooled there.

He spoke and acted well, but he had zero clue how to run a scouting dept or how to draft for the schemes his coaches wanted; or how to hire coaches that could run the schemes for the type of players he wanted to draft. Either way he was pretty bad.
Yeah, that's hilarious. You drafted an entire football roster. I wouldn't waste my time with "simulators" that don't actually simulate anything remotely realistic.
you know you just crapped on my day. To have it broken to me on a public forum that I can't get 22 players all with mostly A grades in the draft is hard to take. I'm just going to have to stare at my avatar some more and hope she gets me up.
Try again. I'm sure you'll be able to get 24 picks next time.

He did ok on offense--acquired Long, Jeffery, Bennett, Leno, Marshall, etc.
He utterly shit the bed on defense though--Shea, Bostic, DJ Williams, Greene, Fuller, Hardin, Ferguson, etc. Epic fail there.
And then of course there was his coaching moves. Trestman & Tucker were truly 2 of the worst upper-level coaches to be in the NFL during his GM-ship.

nah... wasn't me. First, I probably couldn't get 22 to begin with and second, it won;t change what Pace does.
I decided we need a QB. Unfortunately, after the season began and Trubisky started tearing it up for CLeveland, I realized the errors in my thought process.

One of them has to work out right? I mean you have all the bases covered. A first round QB for those of us who believe in using the first round to draft your franchise QB. A day 2 pick for those of us who believe at a day 1 or 2 QB has the best odds. A 4th rounder for those who believe that a Wilson/Cousins/Dak can be found in every draft.
About the only slot you don't fill is the motm slot, the one where you can take a 6th round QB because...Brady!!!

comparing Watson and Trubisky you have to look at the supporting cast and Watson has had better help. I'm not sure what direction Pace will go and the other Teams, but I have a Feeling it's our turn to be that lucky Team.
