At the risk of calling down the wrath of the 'know-it-all and I'm never-wrong' crowd, voted 'F.' Not enough depth and not enough playmakers all across the board. Thats on Pace. This is no longer Emery's team, its Pace's team. These were the guys he thought were good enough to play in the NFL. They may be backups to the backups, but they were still considered good enough. Guess they weren't.
I think this is one I'm gonna wait on for a few days. I want to hear what both have to say on Wednesday and I'd like to evaluate the talent he added these past two years honestly. That may take a bit.
IMHO there's more talent there than some believe but it's very flawed right now so nothing is working. One major issue for me is not having the right guys to play Fangio's schemes on defense. Up 'til these last two games I've been amazed he could pull off what he did but quite a few more starters sat out or were missing so the results weren't exactly shocking.
F. Pace hired Fox and turned our roster completely over, and this is the worse Bears team I can remember. Plus no QB. F-. I wouldn't be upset at all to see Pace, Fox, & all their minions fired on Monday. In fact it would actually give me hope for next year.

That part in red I agree with. Will they be honest and own what is wrong, and offer a way to get the team on track? Is there a plan? Is there even a plan to get a plan?
Or will they just piss on us and try to tell us it's rain?
The franchise is an entertainment product that the business owners sell to fans. Ultimately, the money that fuels this business can all be traced back to fans - even the fat TV contracts. The merchandise sales. And of course the profits directly related to the games (tix and concessions etc). It has taken that $100 investment by Papa Bear George Halas, and turned it into a $2.7-billion dollar cash cow for the entire McCaskey family.
This "entertainment" business has failed the fans for years now. I think a bit of honesty would go a long ways to helping us fans stay fans. And for the zillionth time, I'm not talking about the 2016 season in a vacuum. This is a multi-year failure by the franchise. Year after year we are seeing a poor product on the field.
I really really really don't want to hear more bullshit on Wednesday. No more coach-speak or Gm-speak. Own the problem and tell us the "plan" for this franchise. It is a franchise that just floats in the toilet bowl of the NFL and stinks each year. Don't tell us you're just gonna spray some more air freshener and call it all "good" again.

Unfortunately that just what I think we're gonna hear. It'll be the old "stick with us we're nearly there" so like I said it's gonna be another "Emperors New Clothes" speech where we're not supposed to notice they're as naked as they are.......typical McCaskey owned Bears deal. Just don't say anything that reflects poorly on them.
(1) Injuries robbed this team of some of the excitement we were looking forward to. (2) We want to bring the same coaching staff back to insure continuity in the system. (3) Losing teaches valuable lessons to our younger players (4) Areas we need to improve are now out in the open and can be addressed. (5) As a staff we are going to take some time to study what successful teams do and try to see what we can learn from that study. (6) Our self-study program will start next week, and we'll identify areas of strength and weakness. The goal is to build on the strengths and improve the weaknesses.
or you could go here: cbsg.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/live and pick a random line and change it to football talk. It might be more interesting.
