McCaskeys need to give Bears fans something they can believe

It's not just this horrific 2016 season that is so painful.  There is a history of failure here with the franchise.  It's not just the Fox era of fail.  We can debate the various factors that contributed to this season's failures.  But the franchise has failed fans beyond this 1 season.

They fire the head coach after a 10-win season.  We then experience:

8-win season
5-win season
6-win season
3-win season

I guess what makes me super-angry is that the franchise woes go beyond 2016 and John Fox.  There needs to be some accountability for the years of fail by the ownership.  They continue to put a poor product on the field.  Maybe ownership is incapable of running a modern NFL franchise.  

Did you see that point mentioned in the article that said the McCaskey family kids abdicate all of their share of team ownership to Virginia?  She votes 80% of the ownership of the team.  Virginia calls the shots for this franchise if that statement is true.  The kids are letting Mom run the $2.7-Billion dollar franchise.  That was stunning I thought.  There is a board of directors, but Virginia McCaskey is the power that does anything she wants.  Scary.

Well we don't know what the Bears did or did not spend money on in the past years other than the obvious but with $300+ of annual revenue and growing I think I can be confident that no one in any of the McCaskey households went hungry.

I hope some day they come to their senses and realize just how inept and penny wise and pound foolish they've been.  Maybe that won't come 'til after Ginny dies because she's so all fired sure she's doing like her dear old dad did and if you ask me she'd bat shit crazy.

Whether Fox gets another year or not isn't up to me but after today especially I think I'll stick with my pat hand.  If that's not quitting then I don't know football.

I was thinking about this, this morning.  The McCaskey family is in a business.  We are the customers of that business.  Think of it as a restaurant.  We go there, but the food is really bad.  And it has been like this for 30 years now.  The restaurant owners won't hire a good cook.  The bad cooks come and go over the years (think head coaches).  The managers the family hires to run the restaurant are bad (think GMs).  The waiters and waitresses are bad (think players).  LOL, that last one of the waiters made me think of a stinky guy bringing your food and he rips off a big fat fart before he leaves your table, and just saunters off like it's okay.  You find this disgusting and the Fox explains away the behavior telling you how you are "in a good place" and we accept that.  

Us customers keep going back to the restaurant.  Year after year.  

Who are the crazy one here?  It's sure not the McCaskeys.  The owners, the McCaskeys, are making money hand over fist.  They have a $2.7-billion dollar restaurant business now.  It may be the toilet bowl of the NFL, but it's making money bigtime.  Are we stupid?  Yes. I think so.  If the owners can make money on this stinking, dirty, cockroach infested "restaurant" serving up the crap to us - and we gladly keep on coming back, supporting this restaurant - well, we are the ignorant ones here.  

Sitting in the crap-hole restaurant in our expensive Urlacher jerseys.  We are the idiots here.  

IMHO, we have had mediocre/bad coaches AND players.  Bad chefs and bad ingredients.  It makes for a rough 30-year experience for us fans.  I would have no problem writing off a 3-win season as an aberration if we had experienced some sustained success in recent years.  But for most of the super bowl era, the modern era (not the old leather-helmet NFL) we have been fed a series of bad meals here.  This last season was just the capper.  It was like finding the old cooks gray pubic hair in the scrambled eggs.  It turned my stomach.
