Eddie Royal just added to the IR.....thats 18 players and 66 million worth of contracts...but yeah...this team should have a winning record.
And that's just IR guys. 22 postions on a team. 18 guys on IR alone. Watching the game I had to keep checking the Bears web site to figure out who some of these guys were out there (some I had never heard of... just no-name guys). The Brad Biggs article said we lead the NFL in roster moves (159 roster moves).
I do think we have coaching issues, but we also have other issues as well. Injuries certainly are one key factor too.

No real loss here. It's not like Royal was a playmaker anyway.
Yes, 18 guys on IR but most of them are irrelevant even when they're 100% healthy. This constant injury excuse/reason/call it whatever you want is a moot point.
Th count's up to 19. Fuller isn't gonna play either.
Butkus I'd have been happy to settle for 8 wins this year. Disappointed but not in the mood I'm in that's for sure. Even Fox doesn't use injuries as an excuse and it's about the only excuse he hasn't used. So why are you?
I'm sure we'll all learn to live with what ever decision is made about his coaching status but not all of us will like it and all I can say if he stays is.....BOHICA. It's not gonna change much because he's not the right HC for this team.
The best hope he may have of just holding onto his job is if Fangio stays and he can persuade McCoy to become his OC IF SD lets him go. If Fangio decides to leave and we allow that then I'd send Fox packing and hire again from scratch. The results will be pretty close to the same in the near term.
19 players IR. Plenty more with less than IR injuries. 156 roster moves to compensate. Who needs players? Right? We can win with Staley Da Bear and a couple of Soldier Field beer vendors.
LOL.
Yes there are a lot of factors responsible for the crappy season. Yes, injuries are one of them. The game is, you know, played with football players. I just posted a new thread about how the Bears didn't land a single man on the initial Pro Bowl roster. Not one.
Bears say they’re not ready to shut down Eddie Goldman
The Bears aren’t ready yet to shut down Eddie Goldman, coach John Fox said, though the nose tackle hasn’t practice since leaving the Lions game with a recurrence of his left high ankle sprain.
“We evaluate it day to day,” coach John Fox said Tuesday. “It’s an ankle injury he has come back from, played, didn’t do as well in his last outing.
“We held him out again last week, so it’s really day to day.”
Goldman was carted off the field with the sprain in Week 2 and returned in Week 10 to face the Buccaneers. He was inactive the next week, then played in three-straight games before leaving in Detroit on Dec. 11.
