I see Brax had 83.4 pass blocking grade with zero sacks and zero pressures. He bounced back from his bad game against Rams.
My mother in law passed this past week and we had the services this weekend and today, so I haven't seen the game. How was Brax with his timing and hand placement?
This is the crux of the matter right here. I wouldn’t know what to do If everything with this team perfectly because I’ve been so conditioned over the years to yell and be frustrated.
For me the ultimate deciding factor with Jones is that he's not a $20M per year LT. We need to move on when it's time for that second contract.
I'm fine using our first rounder and trading our second rounder (not Carolina's) to move up in the first to draft a franchise LT.
Sorry dude - but I disagree. At least in the sense that it is digital (e.g., they either have to pay him $20MM or cut bait). He's on a trajectory. There are almost 2 more years to make the call, and now is certainly not the time. It is SO important that he work out for financial reasons that frankly I'm shocked at the naysayers and armchair analysts going off prematurely against what is best for the team. Weird.

First, there are only 7 at $20M, so if some other team offers that much, maybe he’s worth it. Strange that this argument comes from people who think he’s nearly worthless and desperately must be replaced. Illogical.
Also, no GM is going to accept a 2nd round pick to trade back from #5 to #20-something. It will cost next year’s first round pick and you get a rookie LT who may be no better than Wright ( who was not better than Brax his rookie year to now). Finally, 2025 is my Super Bowl ready year, not a year to be breaking in a rookie who needs time to move up the “learning curve” (ask JABF about that). And if we want to see what you likely get at LT late in first round, check out the other Jones boys (Dawand and Brodrick).
