Says every older generation about every younger generation since the beginning of time...
Let me tell you, as someone who works with the youth of today every day...they know a lot more than you or I ever knew at their age and they're going to be more than ok. If any age group has been letting us down lately, it is most certainly the older ones.
And thats about as out of line as I'm going to get on this board, since its not the spirit of it. Have a great day.
Yes, they do for sure. And as in EVERY generation, you have the ones that are sharp, knowledgeable and involved. Then you have the lazy ones that have no clue about much. And the whole spectrum in the middle.
And sometimes (speaking of my own case) we are clueless but get a bit more "sharp, knowledgeable and involved" as we mature. My mom used to say kids really don't mature before age 30, but the poor woman had me and my brother for children... LOL, my mom was a saint when we were young. We were both, definitely, in that clueless category. Lucky we lived through those years to be honest. Mom passed away last December. I miss her a lot now. She was one very wise lady.
fair enough. But one more point i'd like to make is that the youth of today doesn't really know what's goin on. So, can't say i have a lot of faith in their musical tastes. Much less anything else. They're getting a little out of hand. If you hadn't noticed. In some very bizarre ways in fact.

No, It's not the same. They know more because because they spend their days staring at a screen? LOL Is that why they're camping outside colleges waving a hostile Countries flag? Hating on their own Country? Intead of inside the classroom actually learning? Is that Why there are big gaps in the blue collar trades because they don't know how to turn a wrench or read a tape measure? They only way they know how to use their hands is when they're jerking off to porn? Not to mention all the crime that's taking place with kids not even old enough to drive? zero respect for their elders? Can't discern right from wrong? BOY !!!!! are you out of touch. You're goin to lecture me then say that's all you got? GETTING OUT OF LINE??? YOU'RE ONLY ALOUD TO TALK FOOTBALL?? ARE WE IN RUSSIA HERE? LOL, so sad. So pouty. Gonna tell me a thing or two then run away cuz you got the last word in. GROW UP !!!
Speaking of gear. That's some serious gear right there!! Funny how that came up after remembering him.
I haven''t owned a pickup in a long time. My favorite was a 1950 Chevy that a family member (who owned a body shop) painted candy apple red for me. LOL, I paid $275 for the truck... my how times have changed:
"Owning a piece of rock and roll history doesn't come cheap. The Van Hauler is estimated to be worth millions of dollars, but it isn't for sale."

You ain't kiddin! I know this kid, he's like 23. Graduated from Michigan State this year. He's frying chicken in a Jewel Deli. Bought a Mustang maybe 5-7 years old. It's a 4 cylinder with over 100k on it, $22,000. What the Hell's goin on out here?!

I was a dish washer & bus boy at a local restaurant during high school. I bought my very first car from one of the cooks there. I paid $35 for the car. It was a 1954 Ford covered in rotting mulberries. The floorboard was so rusted out that we could see the road through it. It had a "three in the tree" column shift. It was a butt-ugly ride... but I loved that car.

lol, we are getting way off topic here, but my first car was a Fiat 850 sports car. I couldn't wait to drive it when I got home so I took the plates off my dad's station wagon and went out for a drive. Small gas tank and cheap gas. I think I filled it for like $3.50 back then. Unfortunately, it was night time and unbeknown to me, I had a tail light that was out. I got pulled over and when he checked the plates, things did not go well. I can remember sitting in the car while he was behind in the squad with my sphincter trying to suck the seat into my ass while I waited for him to come down on me.
I never bought a car for $35, but I did for $50. We need to hear from the rest of the posters, but I think you may have the crown there.

It was an incredible deal when you consider it came with the mulberries and you could toss your empty beer cans through the (huge) rust holes in the floorboard. They just don't make 'em like that anymore, BIH.
EDIT: I can never talk bad about "today's youth" because I wasn't exactly a model kid myself.

LMAO!!! Whooooo Boy! Thank you for illuminating what we're dealing with here. I'd say you should get some better sources of information, take the tin foil hat off, and also read up on what is covered under free speech and what isn't. This board can moderate itself in whatever way it chooses, so if they don't want certain topics discussed and people keep discussing them, they can ban said person. Thats what you agreed to when you signed up. If it were Russia, you'd be going to jail for it. Lastly, reread your post and then ask yourself who truly needs to "grow up".
