Eberflus, Problem or Solution.

The Bears have the Rams, Panthers & Jags next, and then the bye week.  Probably won't see anyone fired before that.  Not even Morgan.  When I look at that schedule (on the left side of this web page) it looks like 11 games there that will be the litmus test for who gets fired.  If the Bears continue to look lost then everybody will be swept out the door.  If (I know it sounds crazy but if) the Bears have some miracle and the team wins against those big-boy teams (probably not happening) then Flus stays... probably Waldron too if the O is clicking.  What I fear is that it won't be black and white like those two extremes, and we see "just enough" that Eberflus hangs on (I can hear the argument "We need continuity for Caleb").  

I understand the argument for resetting the HC for the newly drafted QB.  And that makes sense.  But if the Bears do need to bring in a new coaching staff, I figure let's get it done and move on.  Don't let this drag out and waste any rookie contract years of Caleb's.  And, while it is less than ideal, I gotta believe that Caleb is a sharp guy and be resilient with a coach/scheme change.  It's not good but it is what it is.  He will benefit from having a better scheme and a sharp head coach who can help him.  

If this comes to pass, I can't wait to see the CHGO episode where Hoge loses his freakin' mind!  Cuz he said this exact thing last offseason--"if they keep Flus and then end up canning a year late(r), I'm gonna blow my top".

That's exactly the path we are on right now.  The Bears are so easy to predict.  Just follow Incompetence Highway and make a right turn down Repeat Mistake Lane.

I don't think we would have gotten Harbaugh. Warren knows too much about his crap and didn't want to deal with that. There was a reason why he wanted back to the NFL. Sure he wants to win, But I think he was in too much hot water in the NCAA so he ran away quick with his tail between his legs and left the College out to dry.

Sounds like a winner to me.

But for how long? 
For the record I wanted him as well. I figured a Bears castaway QB, what better story could be written. But it won't happen anytime soon so I am not wasting more energy on harping about the if's and why's.
