I popped in there to see what was going on. Surreal to not see all the regulars and it seemed desolate. Not sure if I wanna keep posting there only to "get friendly trolled". Think I'll stick to the bar scene.

Surprised to hear that. They have a lot of posters. Certainly a lot of new ones. Are they not active? I thought that some were active posters.
Heck at the very least there is always trolling activity going on. Hell, if you sell your soul (no not Soul) to get traffic and then you don't even get the traffic, I'd say that's not a good trade.

They have 6 pages crying about us leaving, we only have 5 pages crying about why we left. But then they have more members (careful with that BiH).
Sooner than later we should probably just move on from all this. We have what we want now and they have what they want. Our philosophies about how a football forum should run are vastly different. I guess that's a win/win for everyone.
One of the unfortunate side effects of this split is instead of creating a greater amount of content to discuss, it's really diluted the content. It seems as though a lot of posters have bailed on the old forum - meaning they haven't been posting with any regularity - and many posters haven't taken to this board, yet.
Still, the quality of this board - even if the bells and whistles are lacking - makes for a stronger message board experience IMO. I still like the other forum (though it looks like a shanty town at the moment) but definitely find it more productive to spend time here.
It will be interesting to see what happens over the course of the football season with these two boards.
My sense is a lot of the dabears posters who migrated from CCS will return to CCS now that the flow of good football conversation has subsided AND a lot of the posters who were there before their migration will stay here. With Rick not being interested (presumably) in Bear's football, I wouldn't be surprised to see the dabears board die. Kind of sad.

This is 'a bunch of friends, maybe with different views getting together and having a few arguments and laughs with a few beers on the side' kind of board. Just different, quality over quantity
