When it was Justin Fields it was that he held the ball too long.
Now the OL is bad.
We keep pushing the goal posts to fit the narrative.
Its Ownership, Front office, and most importantly coaching.
Flus and all the offensive staff need to go. Gesty looked better last year.
What is sad is you see the Chargers who weren't really anything special already 2-0 looking like a playoff team They were 5-12 last year. The fact that Jim Harbaugh wanted to come here but ownership didn't want him shows you the problem is much greater. We won't see real change until they sell the team and stop putting their fingers into anything Football related.

Bingo!
The McCaskeys will never hire a Strongman as HC. They don’t want a strong accomplished leader with a pedigree. They want yes men who are happy to have a job.
Whelp, the Bears really don't have much else they can invest in on the team other than offensive and defensive line, so here's hoping they pick up a pass rusher in round 1 and draft O line the rest of the draft next year.
FA and the draft. it all has to go into the OL and pass rusher and maybe DB b/c While I don't think Stevenson is bad, he isn't good enough to be the primary coverage b/c JJ is to good. They need someone closer to JJ.

He was scapegoated. I've always believed that, but it is what it is. Now we have to try and make a less elusive QB successful. He has the tools. But they are not showing up when he has a chance to use them

I'm still not a huge fan of Flus, but it's who we have.

his amazing 177 yards passing yesterday was proof 100% scapegoated.
He was PART of the problem, not THE problem. Just like Mitch, Cutler and everyone in between. No HC/OC can build an effective O w/the OL being completely ignored. No Qb can function w/the OL being a welcome matt.
Romo is the only one I have ever seen have NO OL and function at any kind of functional level. Fields is NOT Romo, not by a long shot. Fields couldn't even win the starting job in Pitt w/a spent burned out and injured Wilson. Took Wilson's inability to find the field for Fields to get a shot. He was not scapegoated, he just one in a long list of issues.

It was never Justin Fields v Caleb Williams.
It was:
Justin Fields Two first round picks Two second round picks Star Player
Or
Caleb Williams
Option #1 is looking more and more right by the week.
