For the record, wife and I have been married for 44 years — shooting for 50!
I'm not too far behind you with me and Mrs JABF. She is the only woman on planet earth who would put up with me all these years. LOL, I'm no walk in the park
i'll take obviously true over ignorant and stubbornly sticking to a false point. Meanwhile I'm still waiting on those important 22 players from the last decade from each sb, that you and I both know is BS. remember don't look them up b/c you know, they were important and should be known.
It’s not BS at all. You can have Pro Bowl guys all over the place, and you’re still not going to win a Super Bowl if the middle of your offensive line is garbage. Nobody should appreciate that more than Bears fans!
so you cannot name them. got it. and why? b/c they weren't key's to the win, that's why. How many Chiefs players are winnings SB's w/out Kelce, Mahomes? Think Dru Tranquil is thinking he has a SB right now b/c of his contributions, or maybe just maybe its bc he's sitting on a team w/multiple future HoF'rs?
Some positions matter more than others, and some players matter more than others. To think otherwise is childish and no longer worth discussing.
My God man...why is this so hard for you? Billings is not a pass rusher. He will be out on obvious pass downs and it will be Dexter and Walker at DT.
My God man….with exceptions for score, clock time… obvious passing down is 3rd-and-long. Most downs are NOT 3rd-and-long. I want Billings — not Walker — for those downs.
LMAO, my God man indeed...no, based on formation, personnel and tendencies obvious passing downs can be more than just 3rd and long. You also are aware Billings will not play every snap on defense right? Even the obvious running downs. He's 315 pounds...he's gonna need a blow. The most he ever played in a game last year was 57% of the snaps in week 9. In total for the season he played 225 less snaps than Justin Jones did.
Booker hasn't played in the NFL yet, so we'll see how he does in real games. He needs a year of development physically and technique-wise too. Can he help the team this year? Yes, I believe so. I think he has a high ceiling.
Walker has proven to be a "good but not great" player. He will be a much needed asset this season in a rotation. No, he's not the sexy player but a decent one - especially in a DL rotation this year. Next year I expect Poles to upgrade the OL and DL with those top-3 picks in next year's draft, and Booker being much-improved.
Brax got his year of development playing on the field, not sitting on the bench 80% of the time. Walker, in that regard, is holding back Booker’s development. I think we have different evaluations of these guys. I don’t see Walker as “good”. I rate him “borderline average”. I want Booker as my starting DE on the Super Bowl ready team 2025-26, and I am using those draft picks next year for a center and RG.
You don't rotate offensive lineman like you do defensive lineman. This is an awful comparison.
No. He and butkus often do the same thing — throw out some obviously true statement as if (1) I don’t already know that and (2) it addresses the topic proposed for discussion.
Hopefully, it provides a little light entertainment for other forum members while we wait impatiently for the regular season to begin.
Sometimes its hard to tell if you already know it...

That’s not the point. They did their damn job to enable guys like Mahomes to do theirs. “Some positions/players matter more than others” is another one of your obvious truisms. You don’t need stars at every position, but you do need competent players.

I know. Brax played every snap. Being 5th round pick didn’t prevent him from being a starter, and it shouldn’t prevent Booker. I just want Booker as my starter over Walker and get more snaps.

Yeah, I feel same way about my wife. We’ve had some rough patches, but got through them together.
