I just looked at the official depth chart heading into first game. Training camp is over. Preseason is over. Walker is still ahead of Booker. WTF? Anybody who’s been paying attention can see that Booker is better than Walker. It’s not even very close IMO.

Walker is better against the run, so maybe that has something to do with it. They may want to lead with Walker but Booker will be more situational in the rotation. I'm not saying that's it. Just guessing.

That’s what I used to think, but I’ve seen Booker make some nice tackles on run plays. Did it last night, too. He should be the starter and use Walker to give him some rest during the game. Booker should nearly always be on field if it’s 3rd and 6+

None of the guys he beat last night will be doing anything of consequence for the Chiefs unless there are injuries. Booker is exciting, but he needs more development still. He'll be used a rotational edge rusher, as he should be right now, unless the plan is to kick Walker inside more often.

I know all that, but that doesn’t make it the right decision. I look at how fast he moves, and that is going to be there no matter who he is against. I also saw last night that he has more power than I thought.

Except the guys who start are faster than the guys that don't 9 times out of 10. I think Booker is gonna be a player, but lets not overstate what he's done and who he's done it against.

Your’re still missing my point. I am not judging him by the results of plays. I am just looking at how he moves. He’s not just quick. He reacts fast to the snap. That isn’t going to change, regardless who’s blocking him. Comparing him to Walker, I’ve never been impressed with Walker. He’s better than Walker already. Get Booker in there NOW, so he’s gets his development on the field in real games to be fully ready in 2025. I’m looking at the future, and he’s it — not Walker.

You're missing the WHOLE point. Yes, his quickness will not change, BUT THE SKILL OF THE PEOPLE BLOCKING HIM WILL! Chukwuebuka Godrick isn't playing a snap of football at left tackle for the Chiefs this season. He didn't play against their best guy. Would it have been the same? Who knows...but I'm going to say probably not.
