Your’re still missing my point. I am not judging him by the results of plays. I am just looking at how he moves. He’s not just quick. He reacts fast to the snap. That isn’t going to change, regardless who’s blocking him. Comparing him to Walker, I’ve never been impressed with Walker. He’s better than Walker already. Get Booker in there NOW, so he’s gets his development on the field in real games to be fully ready in 2025. I’m looking at the future, and he’s it — not Walker.
You're missing the WHOLE point. Yes, his quickness will not change, BUT THE SKILL OF THE PEOPLE BLOCKING HIM WILL! Chukwuebuka Godrick isn't playing a snap of football at left tackle for the Chiefs this season. He didn't play against their best guy. Would it have been the same? Who knows...but I'm going to say probably not.
EVERY player is going to make more plays against the second team than the first team. For the third time, that is not what I am talking about. I just look at his quickness, reaction time, etc. — things you can evaluate independently from who’s blocking him. If he gets equal snaps as Walker, which guy will have more production? We should have a poll on that! Booker would win in a landslide.

For now I'm just trusting the coaches to be making the best decisions regarding the depth chart. They are with these players and we are not. The coaches want to win because their jobs depend on winning... so they are invested far more than us fans. It doesn't mean they are right. But they do have more information and experience than us. Hopefully they get it right.

I know. I’m Just Another Bears Fan who goes by what I’ve seen on the field. That’s all we’ve got. And what I’ve seen is that Booker is better than Walker and has more potential. Walker has 7 years of mediocrity under his belt. They plan to start Walker and rotate him with Taylor. Obviously, Taylor has more NFL experience than Booker and has good pass rushing skills, which we need. But that’s going to greatly limit Booker’s chances to get on the field. Maybe butkus is right that I have him overrated, but that’s how I see it.

We need to get hired as coaches. Actually, I'd like to be a GM. I'd probably have a crappy team, but I'd have the best offensive line in the history of the NFL

That QB that can't complete a pass would have time to unpack and eat a picnic, which is a good thing since he would be a lousy passer

I'd be on the phone to "The Neckbeard" to beg him to come out of retirement - and see how soon he could drive that old beater Prius to Halas Hall to sign his big contract. I still can't believe they let Caleb Williams wear his jersey number. So disrespectful to the memories of Kyle Orton.

You love making definitive and certain statements when you really have no certainty. Listen, its my job to look at the way athletes move and perform, and as I have said, I am high on Booker. But he's done absolutely NOTHING in this league yet. If you don't like my opinion, thats fine, but maybe Corey Wooton...who knows a thing or two about playing in this league, will hold more weight. Oh...he agrees with me. Booker should be nothing more than a rotational piece to be brought in fresh on obvious passing downs where he can do what he does best.

He’s done absolutely nothing. You can say the same for any rookie.
I am also high on Booker — higher than Walker. He’s been in NFL for 7 years. He isn’t going to get any better, and has been “meh”. Put Booker in there now so he can be ready to take over the job for our Super Bowl run 2025-26. That’s really where we differ.

You act like he isn't playing at all. He will be part of a rotation. Again, Cory Wooton says he isn't ready yet, that he needs time. But I guess you know better...

I didn’t say he’s ready yet. I said I want to use 2024 to GET him ready for Super Bowl run 2025-26. Walker has to be part of this conversation. Making him the starter and then giving both him and Taylor more snaps than Booker is going to delay his development. I have a timeline to get a Super Bowl ready team 2025-26. Booker is part of it. Walker is not.
