You know your talking about the Bears, no way they pick 3 Offensive players with the first 3 pick of any draft. I see them going more S or DE in the first two picks next year then maybe QB.
Our defense needs more help than our offense imo.
This is a hard one to debate. Most of the season the defense has been the strong point and the offense has dragged the team down. I've gone bot ways on which needs more but I'm too the point where I don't care. Both the offense and defense need play makers so I think they just need to take the best player available. I'm not quite sure I would take a RB though, even if he is the best player available.

Besides QB and TE is there any position in huge need for offense? Depending on what we do with Jeffery will determine if we need to grab another WR in FA or Draft. Our WR is full of so many rookie players as well so age is a non factor. A tackle is the only other position I think could use a bit of depth.
When you look at our OLB: Our youngest guy is 24. Will be 25 next year. Mcphee will be 28 with a bad knee, Young will be 32 years old, Houston will most likely be gone. Our DBs all could do with a replacement. Fuller most likely isn't the answer, Porter isn't going to be around forever and besides for Hall I see no starter material CBs and even he's a bit of a reach for that. Amos is looking more and more like a backup rather than a starter. DL: We need another DE, we need real depth behind our Dline. ILB: Freeman will be 31 next year, Danny T will be 27, and besides for Kwiatkoski we have no real depth at that position when one player goes down. Could use an upgrade here.
I don't even think our offensive problems are on the players rather more so on Loggains and his poor play calling. There is no excuse to abandon the run like he does. Howard rookie year has 1,100+ yards and that was missing a few games. Sometimes I wonder if I'm watching the Trestman era with the pass happy offense we start doing at the end.

I read a lot of critiques of the log and I mostly agree with all of them. Still, the specter of appropriate offensive reads must be considered. Anyone track what kind of reads the QB is making on the field? Anyone track defensive fronts? It's one thing to ridicule the log, but considering the Bears strength is running the ball it makes a lot of sense for defense to defend the run heavily thus encouraging the selection of passing plays. This idea is supported by the advent of Bears rotation of backups. Why would defensive coords play the pass when they know the man responsible for throwing the ball is a 3rd stringer?
The more film I watch of Allen the more I want him to be a Bear, but at the same time we need a QB. Not too often we get a top 5 pick and my gut tells me Pace is going to go after his QB. Tough decisions glad I'm not Pace right now.
Not gonna be a first rd pick for the Bears but I've been really impressed with Taco Charlton of MU and Solomon Thomas of Stanford. DeMarcus Walker is a freaking animal too. There are a lot of impact defensive players in this draft class.

Which QB is worth the first round pick though?
I mean we don't have an Andrew Luck or even a Marcus Mariota in this years draft class. The best guy is a guy who had 1 year experience.
I don't see this as a tough decision. Go BPA...
I don't forsee the top 3 QBs of this draft being drafted in the top 15. In fact I have a feeling only 1 team will draft a QB in the top 10.
I think Michigan's Wilton Spaight is the closest thing to Cutler we could ask for...Maybe Harbaugh will bring him over in 2018.... It's almost like Harbaugh had sex with mama Cutler and gave birth to this aberration.

It's one heck of a game so far. Big comeback by Michigan. Lot of missed tackled on ST's on that last kick though.

And we are looking to replace Cutler with another Cutler, why...?

That's the problem - we desperately need a franchise QB and we are going to have a top 5 pick but none of the QB's in this draft appear to be worth taking that high. What do you do?
