Would you be wiling to give up a 2nd rounder for

It would be interesting. He's 29 years old and will turn 30 during the season, and he's got 2 years left on his deal, so I'm not sure I'd want to offer him a big money long term deal either. At best I'd tack on an extra year making him a free agent when he's 33. Is that worth a second round pick? He's certainly been a a very good pass rusher.

I know you have a SB in 2925 or bust expectation.  But I think Poles and the rest of Bear management has a longer-range view on how they define success. 

He has put up great numbers.  But I keep thinking he's a 3rd round pick who (you would hope) the Bears can match with their own drafted guy next season - on a rookie contract.  I'm thinking that Poles and his staff can find us that guy.  I'm okay with how Poles traded away draft picks in this draft.  But the model, according to him, is to build primarily through the draft.  I'm hoping he does that now.    

Poles may be gone in 3-4 years if Bears aren’t Super Bowl ready before then. And at my age, I might be dead by then. That’s why I don’t worry about it. NOW 2025-26 is the time to be Super Bowl ready. I think Warren is on that timeline.
