I think 10 wins or more primarily comes down to two things:
Is the defense that we saw at the end of the year the defense going forward, or was that just a trick of the schedule?
Can CW in his rookie year put up better passing numbers than JF did?
If those two things are true I think we have good chance at 10+ wins.
I can't tell if the schedule is easier or harder than last year. I do see a lot of teams in flux on that schedule though. Lot of 1 and 2 year coaches. Honestly, only the 49ers look like a game I wouldn't give us much of a chance at winning. The rest of the schedule appears to be beatable teams.

I can get to nine wins over teams with bad QBs or home games I expect the Bears to win. Note, I said expect not predict. I don't know enough about the Cardinals to really make a prediction here. Titans added talent yet are going to throw a 3rd tier QB out there to lead them. Richardson still is an unknown for the Colts. Rams are (IMO) on the decline. Washington will be interesting, depend on how their drafted QB goes. Minny is going to free fall this season and I think Jefferson is going to force his way out. (Watch him sign tomorrow ha ha ha.)
With all the hype about the Bears this year, winning only 9 games would be a disappointing season. I would be OK with 10 and making the playoffs, but that is about my limit.

I see your point, David. And we may win that many games. I just wouldn't count on it happening, like it is a given it will happen. I think you may be setting yourself up for a disappointment. The hype isn't for "this year" but for the next several years after our rookie QB has transitioned and developed a bit... this year is our 1st with (what we hope) is a developing franchise QB in his rookie year. This is an investment in our future. There is usually a time element to investing. Even Stroud only had 10 wins - and everyone understands that he was the exception to the rule as a rookie QB. There have been other exceptions too. And maybe Caleb will be one too. But I do expect a mixed bag with him this first year (some good games and some bad games that first year).

Well, whoever the QB is, there is a pretty good situation in CHicago. I think the players are there. If Waldron lives up to the hype then it's all on the QB to be all he can be.
