And bring a measuring tape to make sure these new guys measure up to the boards arm length standards.
Good catch there... it never occurred to me to get the arm length. I can see why this scouting stuff is so tough for the Bears... a lot to cover when scouting these guys. I did an Internet check to make sure I had the phone number for Halas Hall. At least the main switchboard number, in case I spot a prospect for Poles. Hopefully he and Eberflus can just hop in the car and drive down here to Bloomington, Krogers and check the guy out as he sacks groceries. I thought that instead of a 40-time I could just ask the guy to take a sprint down the produce aisle and get a time on him that way. The vertical jump could be over the potatoes/onions (they're in the middle of that produce section). I have no clue about the bench though. What's that heavy in a grocery store? I have no clue.

I assume you did the cart test on the bagger? You know.... you keep inching the cart away from him just a little at a time and see how far he can still reach and put the stuff in the cart. It weeds them out quick.

The best bagger can stand at one end of the checkout aisles and bag for all of them without leaving his station...

Excellent... why don't they have these drills at the Combine? I just got back from Krogers and this guy looked legit. Check out his arm length. Oh, I am gonna get a video with my phone to send to weneedmorelinemen in order to be dead-certain the arm length looks good on the kid.

Oooh Cart Test for lineman out in the parking lot with a full heavy carriage. Will need to be at a location where the wheels lock up at the store's territory line. See how well they push that heavy sled without losing the eggs or anything else while dodging impatient drivers!
