I don't care all that much at this point. Kind of like Fields. It's done so that's who we have. As far as how well he will do ON THIS team, we won't know until he plays for this team.
Not going to worry about anything that I have no effect over.
If everybody did that, this place would be a ghost town.
I try to but sometimes don’t practice what I preach
That whole Raiders team was in turmoil last year. Worst year of his career. Still would have had 1,000 (4th time) if not injured for last month of the season. The previous year he was first team All Pro and lead the NFL in rushing. If healthy, he is going to be a BIG F’ing problem when he gets with the Packers offense. I guarantee you Packers would not trade him for Swift. I wouldn’t, either. Net negative.
Neither are elite guys, but good. Jacobs though had his YPA significantly less than Swift last season. And even though Jacobs had more rushing attempts he had significantly fewer yards than Swift. Those are the hard numbers. Swift is a year younger than Jacobs too. PFF's receiving grade was a bit lower for Jacobs also. I'm not saying he is trash. But Swift is a solid player - outplayed Jacobs last year.
If Jacobs doesn’t qualify as “elite”, I don’t know who you are counting. Derrick Henry is the ONLY running back with more rushing yards over the last 5 years. Jacobs has about 400 more yards receiving, which makes them about equal in total offense.
Yes, Jacobs and the Raiders had a tough year in 2023. Don’t count on that with the Packers offense.
Khalil Herbert had same rushing average as Swift last season — just fewer carries because he missed some games.
