I agree. We all want the "best everything" in the draft but the fact is teams have limited equity with these draft picks. Some positions you almost have to invest a top pick in, while a position like center may have a great player outside of the first round. But the premium positions pretty much require a premium draft pick investment. To elevate the entire roster in a rebuild, Poles really doesn't have the luxury of drafting a C too high... if he does that then the overall rebuild suffers to some extent. I actually like Frazier for the Bears - a lot. Crazy good player who won't be drafted as high as JPJ. Use that first round pick on a great WR. Get an elite WR on a rookie contract to pair with DJ Moore.
I'll bet we should put LSU's 6'3" Brian Thomas Jr in that elite top tier of WRs. His floor is high and his ceiling is sky high. He had ~1,200 receiving yards this season, averaging over 17 ypc. Runs a 4.33 forty. Long body with big hands. He would be awesome paired up with D.J. Moore. He is a 6'3" burner. Great teams need 2 bigtime threats at WR and this guy would be our 1B guy with DJ at 1A. If the top 3 guys are gone at our #9 pick, I'd take this guy there. There are years in the draft where a guy this talented would be the top WR in the draft. This draft class is off the charts with top tier talents. It's a great year to draft a WR if you have a top-10 draft pick.
