I have a very hard time imagining Poles drafting a center with a 1st round pick. Even before his Bates trade. He has yearned for a scrappy undrafted veteran center since he got here.

More and more, I am getting the impression that Poles doesn’t value the center position, so he keeps throwing guys at it, hoping they will outperform their contract.

On the other hand, he did interview JPJ at the combine, so I have to assume he would not do that if he couldn’t imagine a trade down with the #9 pick.

If you want JPJ, you need to work a deal with the Steelers. I’ve seen some mocks where Steelers take him at #20. Dane Brugler (The Athletic draft guru) has a mock where the Seahawks trade with Steelers and get JPJ. I’d love that if Poles isn’t doing anything.

Are the Steelers stupid enough to stay with Pickett, if they could trade up to #9 for McCarthy or Nix? Poles should try to fleece them.

According to the sacred chart, Poles could get Powers-Johnson plus the Steelers second and third round picks in 2024. That’s a better deal than WR #4 with 9th pick.

Do you think anyone has heard any rumblings in Halas Hall since Poles took over? The moves he has made I dont really remember hearing anyone talking about them. I think EVERY rumor is purely guessing on anyone's part.
