So you wanted him to go for it on 4th down, down 3? Gotcha. You're the same type of guy who would be on here killing him for going for it on 4th down if he didn't get it too! Fox will never do the right thing in your eyes. I listen to your types in the stands of games all the time....questioning coaches and thinking they know better all the time. Now I have problems with the play calling...I think they should have ran the ball to eat up some more time off the clock, but I'm not going to knock him for kicking the field goal.
I dont mind him going for 3, I do mind him throwing the ball 3 times prior to that which is allowing way to much time for GB to break that tie. If you are going to go for the tie, you have to leave next to no time on the clock. 1 min 20 sec's is plenty of time for a guy like Rogers to get into FG range for the win.
I agree Ric. And you'd think a guy who is allegedly "so conservative" would run the ball more than he does. Perhaps the biggest fault I could find with Fox is that he gives his coordinators to much room to operate, and should maybe give more of his say in key situations. I don't know whether that occurs or not...but if he is so conservative you'd think the offensive calling would mirror that...and it doesn't.
