Why do you think Fox is above average? Why should we Keep him this bad?
I don't see it. Our Team wasn't injured to start the year and they were bad coached. Fox seems to lose Fangio as his DC. We have a 9-20 Record under him. That's worse than Trestman who lost the room and hasn't had a Fangio D.
Here's the better question, why do you think this team is capable of doing anything more than it's doing right now?
Their first 3 games were against an Eagles team that was 5-0 before it's first loss to a Washington team who was on a 4-0 run. A loss to a Cowboys team who only has 2 losses, which happen to be to the same team, and a Texans team they probably should have beat, but a Texans team who nonetheless has 7 wins this season. Some of you act like we played a bunch of bums those first 3 games. Now I'm not saying Fox is infallible, but this was not a play off team this year, and with the injuries it's even less of one.
As for Fangio, I'll believe it when I see it. Till then I think it's nothing more than a media base that has had it in for Fox for a year using their MSU doctorates. Fangio CHOSE the Bears over going to the Redskins...and a year later he wants out? Sorry...doesn't pass the sniff test.
Why not answer my question?
Bears lost games because of bad Coaching. They were in more games than they should have been and in the end they lost. It was Fox and Loggains. In the Long run, the less Ws the better draft pick, but we could have 6 Wins by now with better Coaching. It wouldn't be good, but much better than now.

Fox isn't easy to work with and I believe Elway.
I believe the coaches tried to execute plays at times the crap players could not get done due to the talent woes (and yes, injuries played a MAJOR role in this). Would of, should of, could of - it doesn't change the fact that NO coaching staff was gonna make much out of this team this year. Believe what you want (and that's okay) but it wasn't in the cards to win many games this year. One more draft and FA - and healthy players (where we're not fielding backups and guys signed off the street like Barkley) and we should be one heck of a competitive team next year. But this year it just wasn't gonna happen.

Give me specific instances in which coaching moves specifically cost us games. I'm not saying there hasn't been some things Fox has done wrong, but I'd like to know specifically what he could have done better that would have ensured a win. And then answer my question as to why you believe this team, with it's lack of talent, is a 6 win team?
Lastly, I'm not saying he's a hall of famer, but he's got a winning record in this league, and has brought two teams to Super Bowls. Not a lot of other coaches can say that. He's a good coach...saying anything else is just simply false.

Kubiak took that same Team with a QB that got really worse to the SB and won it while Fox failed win with them. Fox is a loser and has a losers mentality.
We lost due to bad Play calls, we lost because we weren't prepared enough and he never wanted to take risks. If only 5 Drops don't happen to Barkley, this Team would have 2 more Ws with all those Problems. Remember before the season started on the old Board? 8-8 +/-2 was the Overall thought this Team can do. Nobody thought they would be THIS bad and I mean nobody. Don't act like this was written in Stone.
You still avoid to answer my question that was asked first. Why in the hell should we keep Fox? Why even Defend him? I don't care what happened Ages ago with the Panthers and Delhomme. This is a different NFL for sure than it was back then. You want to tell me Howard deserved no runs to start the season?

The team that Kubiak won with had one of the best defenses in the game. The two teams were literally night and day. And that "loser" still has won in this league, he has a winning record. Say what you want, but not many can say that.
On the old board, before the season 8-8 was the high mark. That was before we were on our 5th QB, before we were on our 3rd safety combination, before we were starting guys off the street at corner, before we were starting back up's at guard, before we lost our two stud middle linebackers....should I continue to go on? Seasons evolve...just because you thought one thing at the beginning of the season doesn't mean you get to ignore what is actually happening during the season.
What specific play calls cost us games? I need to know. And I haven't avoided answering your question, I've answered it numerous times. I think Fox was what this team needed at the time. He has this team, despite everything I mentioned in the paragraph above competing and playing hard. Take a look at the Jets under Todd Bowles, who many wanted instead. That team has given up, they are an embarrassment. They are currently what we were two years ago. This team does not have the talent to win yet. There isn't a coach out there that I think could do a better job with what this team has right now. If you can name the coach that would do better go ahead.

Barely. He was lucky he got an elite and future HoFer QB and a great defense to work with. Overall record w/ Carolina 73-71, w/ the Bears 9-20.
Let's face it, he's no better than Lovie. Honestly I really don't get the love for that guy. Everybody wanted Trestman gone even though he had a better record than Fox. Now all I ever hear is give him another chance. *rolls eyes*

I don't have any love for the guy. And I am fine upgrading if there is clearly a better option. The key word there is clearly. The names I've seen posted include some guys I'd downright hate to have here.
It will be interesting to see what the Bears do at the end of the season. My gut feeling is that Fox gets one more year here. That may not be a wrong decision. Only time will tell.

When Fox was brought in, my impression of him was that he was not a guy who could win the SB for us, but would get us there or at least close to it. I also thought of him as a guy that could bring in great coaches.
He has brought in great coaches, but surprisingly, may not have the personality to work with them. I am now also wondering if the ability to get us to a SB was wishful thinking.

He also made the playoffs with that future HOFer Tim Tebow. LOL. And that "great" defense he had to work with in Denver that he lost in the super bowl with...they were ranked 22nd in the league. Two totally different defenses. I mean we can pick and choose whatever we want to look at. So he was a winner in Carolina, and what was that franchise before he got there? I'll tell you what, a franchise that had 1 winning season in it's history. The way some of you act you'd fire Chico too.
I'm fine with firing him, but I'm not getting rid of him just to get rid of him. Based on what I see with this team he hasn't been the sole reason this team is where it is. Thats where we differ. Many want to blame him for everything, while I don't see it that way. It's not his fault this team wasn't ultra talented to begin with, and it's not his fault that some of the best talent this team has has been hurt or suspended for large parts of the season. Do I think he can win a Super Bowl? I don't know...but I know if he's got the talent he's good enough to get a team to a Super Bowl...thats proven. Either way this team is not close to that yet. I like the direction they are heading in, I like the fight he's instilled in this team and until someone gives me a name that will do better I'm not going to join the fire Fox bandwagon.
