he just sneaked in to the POs with Tebow and his record wasn't great that year. Outside of his time with Manning, he's a 0.5 Coach at best... great.
Now I still wait what he does that he shouldn't get fired. I asked first. Because the Team is playing and hasn't quit? that's all? That's the bar?
Fox is a loser and will never win anything. It's time to get some coaches that want to win and have that mentality.
LOL...did he make the playoffs or not? I've answered your question....multiple times. Now answer mine, specifically what plays has he called that cost wins, and who is the coach who is available that will come in here and do a better job with the circumstances Fox has faced. Please enlighten me. You've made some grand claims but have provided very little specific information to go with it.
Lastly, if you think there are coaches in this league who don't want to win I'd like to sell you some waterfront property in the sahara and a bridge in brooklyn...I'll give you a great price.
I know, with this roster we should have won the Super Bowl this year and Cutler should have easily been the League MVP. I mean Barkley. It's all a conspiracy implemented by Ted Phillips in collusion with the McCaskey family. It has nothing to do with a lack of player talent left standing on this team. Right?
completely missed the point. Again, there are good reasons to keep Fox, injuries being the main one. This is a 6-7 win team minimum without the injuries and suspensions (not even talking about Cutler--more about Goldman, Trevathan, Freeman, Jeffery....) and as much as I dislike Fox, he gets another chance to show what he can do.
BUT
If you are happy because the team 'played hard' and 'never gave up' so did Jauron's teams and Lovie's for that matter. Having your team playing hard is not a good reason to keep a coach. Its just not.
Who said anything about being happy? You think I'm happy this team only has 3 wins right now? Hell no I'm not happy. But I'm also not stupid enough to not see whats right in front of my face. If this was a 6 win team fully healthy, why the FRIG should it be any more than a 3 win team with all the friggen injuries this team has had?! I mean Jesus Christ!
And for the record....Jaurons teams gave up. That was awful to watch towards the end.
It has, but they haven't played better to start the season with the Players healthy.
All we have going is a Team that Plays hard... Fox' record is worse than Trestmans without the Fangio D. I don't consider all the injuries bad luck, last year was no different with that same staff.
The best reason to keep Fox has been paying him for another 2 years to do nothing... so far.
Do we need to go over the teams they faced again to begin the season? As for that "healthy" team. Fuller was put on IR, McPhee was on the PUP, Houston went on the IR in September, Ego was on the IR, Long had the shoulder issue, Grasu was on the IR, Wilson was on the PUP, Royal had the toe issue and missed time, Goldman had the ankle and missed games, Trevathan had the thumb and missed games, and Cutler had the thumb issue that cost him games....THIS WAS ALL THE FIRST MONTH OF THE SEASON! And more...I left a lot out.

I definitely agree with you on it not being the reason you keep a coach. My point is that it is still one positive attribute when a coach can keep the team on point in a season like this. I don't want to make that into "The" big attribute. But still, it is good coaching when you can keep a team together - and have voung/new players improving/progressing in their development - in a brutal season like this.
I just figure fair is fair. We can legitimately jump on the guy for his legitimate faults (and he certainly has them) but I do find it his leadership impressive (with the team) as he leads this team through a horrific season. Yes, he tics off the sports media guys, and the fans don't like his glib answers. I don't think he gives a rip about anyone except his players and the team. And that pisses a lot of people off.
You and the others are gonna think I am nuts (and I probably am) but I believe this Green Bay game is winnable by this motley patched up Bears team. I like to believe I see improvements with these young players development. I think it may just be enough improvement that we beat a solid Green Bay Packer team on Sunday.

Wait a minute...I thought that according to that video all the Bears needed to do was draft a pass rusher and SB it is!!! Multiple SBs..like Denver.
You mean the one thread/poster was wrong about just neededing to draft a pass rusher? I thought that was the secret. We were told that was the secret and that it was simple. Draft a pass rusher and Win the SB!!!!!!

How did you answer? Saying we are injured and assuming that there is no better Coach?
Fox is a guy that isn't playing for the win. He is conservative and wants not to lose. That's a loser mentality.
Want the most recent example? Last drive against GB. Fox is a loser, he played not to lose instead to win. Go for the tie with TOs left inside the 10? Go for it and if not, get the ball back to tie it later. Fox hasn#t played to win.

So you wanted him to go for it on 4th down, down 3? Gotcha. You're the same type of guy who would be on here killing him for going for it on 4th down if he didn't get it too! Fox will never do the right thing in your eyes. I listen to your types in the stands of games all the time....questioning coaches and thinking they know better all the time. Now I have problems with the play calling...I think they should have ran the ball to eat up some more time off the clock, but I'm not going to knock him for kicking the field goal.

I wouldn't be killing him if he even tried. That's the schtick with Fox... he's not trying. He's playing not to lose. A true winner Shows balls and goes for it in a season that is already lost. Why not try to win against your rival?
He would have done the right Thing if he would have gone for the W. That's it. I don't know better than coaches for sure, at least not in Football. I just would have had the balls unlike our own HC. I don't see the Point in defending him. Why you do this is beyond me.

I dont mind him going for 3, I do mind him throwing the ball 3 times prior to that which is allowing way to much time for GB to break that tie. If you are going to go for the tie, you have to leave next to no time on the clock. 1 min 20 sec's is plenty of time for a guy like Rogers to get into FG range for the win.
