Stats show what he has done. In the system he was in behind the line he was behind, and having the weapons he had. It wasn't all b ad he had two pretty good weapons but the rest wasn't real good. It doesn't show what he can do once those are fixed. We already did this.

If its so easy to manipulate statistics then there should be some showing Fields is average right?
You are right. We added a legit #1 WR and improvements to the line. He got another 500 yards in passing and still isn't close to 3k passing yards while Love has 4k passing yards. Dak has 4.5k yards passing with an elite offense and still can't win a single playoff game.
Your hope is he becomes even close to Dak who won't win you a ring. This is why you have to move on from Tier 2 and Tier 3 QBs. Fields is a Tier 3 QB. 2023 was make it or reset year. We all agreed to that when we got DJ Moore and next year 1st round pick as a backup option incase Fields doesn't work out. Now you have a chance to draft the best prospect since Luck. You take it no matter what. No WR is worth losing out on even a 4k passer.

I see a Trubisky/Cutler future. Given one last shot and will be a backup at best.
Are you saying that Poles will draft Williams, for sure? No nuances, just is that what you believe?
The only nuance I take somewhat seriously is that Williams blows up in his interview with Poles. Poles says he looks at the tape and the “person” and needs to be blown away by the guy. Fields has a ton of locker room support, so that could be a problem for Williams if he starts out 1-4.
I agree with David. Unless Williams really shows some red flags in the interview process, he's gonna be the pick.
