But Fields was known to hold onto the ball and wait to long in college also. Williams team was trash this year and forced him to do things he normally wouldn't. None of these QB's had a team like OSU, hell 3 WR's from Ohio State went in the first round in the 2 years following Fields draft, and 1 went in the 2nd 2 years before Fields draft year. Dude had insane WR talent his entire time there. To be fair, Williams had 2 go in the first rd in the last 2 years(he didn't run much), but no one thinks they are having anyone this year or next year.  

Also, Maye ran for under 500 yards, perfectly acceptable, Mahomes/Allen like numbers; Williams less than that, similar to Fields, but again neither had the WR talent Fields had to work with. Fields could sit there all day waiting for his WR's to get open and launch bombs; that doesn't translate to the NFL, and it didn't.

0 shot, any of these qb's look to run anywhere near like Fields does. If Fields is going to succeed in the NFL, he needs to be playing 17 games and having 500ish running(like Mahomes/Allen) not 600+ in 13 games or 1k in 17. 

Hopefully sitting behind Russel will teach him how to play; but not sure you can fix mental issues that easily. This entire thing worried me his rookie year, tons of positive reinforcement for rushing and splash plays created bad habits. Caleb, or whoever will not have those bad habit set in their rookie years b/c of poor OL and no WR help. 

Yeah, Fields also said that too...so we'll just have to see.

Well, if he can't complete more passes than Fields with a better line, more weapons and a better OC (I hope), then we have a problem.
